- During the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2019, I have managed to film this World Championship winning Red Bull RB8 F1 car screaming up the Goodwood hillclimb course driven by the ex-F1 driver Patrick Friesacher, giving a very nice show! The 2.4-liter V8 Renault RS27-2012 engine screams up the Goodwood Hillclimb, inculuding some nice donuts and accelerations!

@@nevercommitsuicide what do you mean “same” ? Logically speaking the V6’s cannot have the same impact the v8 have. It just can’t. Loud? yeah…same energetic impact you claim? No.
@@hodb3906 frequenzy is key here, but the 2022 cars sadly are quieter than the 2019-2021 cars. 2023 will be quiet too

Why does it say Honda on the side didn't it have a Renault engine? Why would they bother updating the older cars to the newer liveries anyway why wouldn't they keep them in 'as-raced' condition?
I think they did this as a middle finger to renault. But yeah it pisses me off too
Yeah sorta agree on the renault thing, I do see why they are using a new livery though; it's a promo car so they want to use it to promote all their current sponsors as well as red bull as a brand at that point in time. I'm pretty sure they have a V8 car (or maybe a few) dedicated to doing promo stuff like this, and as a brand so focused on PR it makes sense that they'd do this. Also, they do so many other PR stunts, e.g. driving in snow, driving around cities etc. that its probably just easier to have this livery on the car

@Tonycristohawk TV 😂😂😂 It has a Renault engine in it still.
It's not uncommon for engine manufacturers to help out former customers with old engines. Renault and BMW for example also still work with Williams when it comes to demoing older cars.
Regardless, a Honda engine wouldn't fit in this car - it was designed to take a Renault. Plus Renault remained in F1 during the V8 era long after Honda did 😂
You know its a bad time when people reminisce over the v8's and haven't been near a 2005 V10....I have (alonso's 2005 winner, playing god save the queen specifically).
I mean v10s sound is uncomparable but the v8 sounded REEALLLLYY GOOD also
Tbh I like the v10s and V8s (2000s and early 2010s) equally, perhaps a few particular V8 cars even more than the V10s. There's a lot of V10 circlejerk online, but I think the V8s were just as good - not as sonorous, but arguably more brutal when revving and downshifting. I agree that the current V6s arent up to scratch sound wise though.
