Good advice mostly but i do think girls can have friends that are guys. Really amazing girlfriends ive had had loads of guy friends and there was zero competition for me and she went to events etc. with them all the time. I also have a lot of good friends who are girls and they might have boyfriends and its no big deal. I dont think its that black and white, if i were to for example start feeling something checmistrywise for one of my friends who is a girl...i would straight up tell her and ask her if she wants to try it out with me, if not no problem, ill find other friends. In conclusion, never be friends with a girl you have feelings for, other girls you dont care about in that way, why not be friends
