Good video. I would just recommend to not use valet. Even if you are using valet mode, you would want to limit the amount of people you give access to your vehicle. I have seen people get their cars stolen while it is in possession of valet. If you go to a place where it's valet only, tip the valet driver and they usually let you park it yourself. If not, you should probably find another place to eat.

With only 386 miles on it as of today, I haven't explored it's full limits, but, with what I have put it through ,I am super impressed! It has all the looks, comfort, power, acceleration and especially important to me, a smooth compliant ride courtessy of the special suspension settings that are available with the 1320 which the standard Scat Pack doesn't have. This thing checks all the boxes for me and I have ZERO regrets.@@shinismoove

thank you for this video! I live in the Dallas area also and never park my car in a Dallas open parking lot. I take an older car. A police friend said that they always run Challenger/Charger plates because likely it is stolen.

dang you live close to me im in fort worth.. and i just got a 2022 sxt challanger.
My vehicle would have to be towed. I’m not about to post why. They can pull up beside you why it’s running and steal your key signal. Then simply follow you. Move your obd connection. Those covers simply pop off in 2 seconds. I carry gorilla glue. The big ass gorilla scares them off. One last thing, get Chubb insurance.
I just test drove a couple challengers and fell in love with an r/t but all this theft of challengers is really concerning me. I'm in the Dallas area as well and I'm just not sure if I want to be worried about my windows getting smashed or my new car being a target. It's a damn shame this is such a problem.

I purchased a scat 2023 challenger and been to a few dealerships in my area, and they no know about the enhanced security modes at all. I had to show them the article from 2021 from Dodge Garage, and still nothing. They did eventually find to lock out the key module, but apparently it may prevent Uconnect from updating thereafter? Have you heard about any of these bud?
The dealership in Sherman, TX that I bought my hellcat from had no idea, they couldn't even lock-out the key programming module. I took it to Frisco Dodge and they were very familiar. Some dealerships don't know, they've never been asked, perhaps never told, or didn't read the email notification about it etc. You can always update Uconnect, that's separate from the ECU and BCM and other modules.
Precisely why I drive the 6 speed! No kid nowadays can drive one ! 😂

I have a 21' Hellcat Redeye and have the neutral strap covered as you do. My only fear is that if my car breaks down and won't start in the middle of an intersection, I won't be able to push it to the side and get it out of traffic. I really don't know what I will do if that ever happens to me. But it is still a good device to have on your Mopar.
As long as you have electrical power you can get it into neutral. If you lose power that's when you need to use the release strap. A small portable 12v battery pack will also help in a pinch or jumper cables just to get power.
If my car dies in the street and I have no power, I can't get it into neutral correct? If I can start the car then I can put it into neutral. If the car won't start but turns on it will not go into neutral. That is my major fear.@@TrickMasterPC T
Btw where do u get ur enhanced security screws for your neutral switch blocker?
The 1320 Destroyer Neutral Release cover comes with two square bit secuity screws (you could use these). If you want higher security screws then take one of those screws or the factory screw to the hardware store and match it to a security screw. These are in the hardware section in a pull out drawer.

I probably wouldn't, if you ever need to use that switch it will be a pain to drill out the rivets, clean up the shavings. People say to buy a manual if you don't want the car stolen, but it's even easier to steal because you can push the clutch in and roll it away lol.
Get a fuel pump kill switch as well
lol I just got one of these in the dallas area and now im just as paranoid as you, sucks that these ppl get caught and just bail out with 1500 , and even if you have a location dallas pd wont do anything, almost as if they're in on it
i am proof of that. Dallas police are so understaffed. It took them two days to call me back when my car was vandalized. I waited over 3 hours after calling 911 and no one showed up.

I had to settle when I got my Challenger on what trim package I wanted because I had to have a Standard Transmission I watched a guy try to steal my car at Walmart I was about 12 feet away from it left it running key in the cup holder windows rolled down he jumped in saw it was a 6 speed and all I heard was him yelling profanity got out mad as hell cussing slammed my door and stormed off past me as I was rolling on the ground laughing.
It's so funny how so many of the stupid youth today have no idea how to drive a manual.... I say stupid, because you'd have to be if you're trying to steal a car.

Yes, but they also push the vehicles away without starting. I've seen rear bumper pushes, trailer loads, tow straps etc. They never start it.
I'd say in Germany not getting stolen, but if it would, insurance pays for it so why bother.
They're not making these cars anymore so replacement will be difficult, especially with a jailbreak

Yes, except people with only IGLA have had their car popped into neutral and pushed off in the night or loaded onto a trailer. So neutral strap cover is a must.

Buy a manual?
The theives can steal manuals even easier by simply depressing the clutch. They'll push it with another vehicle from behind or load onto a trailer. Manuals are easier to steal.
I'd also pull the fuel pump relay, but that's more something I'd do for long cross-country trips, not a daily theft deterrent.
Yeah, if I ever park somewhere sketch pulling this relay will be key.

100% I've tested on all my vehicles. If you place the key in the pouch or box, the car door will not unlock, the car will say no key detected. The car will not start.
Also, I've seen stories where thieves drive alongside your vehicle, scan and capture your key signal, then follow to where you park, then program a key with that signal. Be warey of this tactic too.
@@TrickMasterPC thanks for letting us no. and damn that’s crazy I just seen some videos on RUclips like a few weeks ago where people’s cars are getting stolen and the people that steel them are sending them over seas plus there is a thing they can make where it steals the signal from the key and puts it in the thing that they made so when you press the button it unlocks and turns on the car witch is crazy they need to find a way around this

Well not entirely because there are a lot of stupid people out there, and you have to be a moron to even consider stealing a car in the first place. I don't put too much faith in the intelligence of Mopar thieves. There's likely a few somewhat intelligence theives out there, but not many and eventually they'll end up shot dead or in jail.

They already know, they're doing it daily, nation wide. Because we've gotten so good at mitigating their methods, they're actually jacking people while driving on the road now. They'll pull up at stop lights and stop signs, I've seen video of them pulling in front of a car to stop the car then get out in the middle of the road and try to jack at gun point. Keep a gun on your waste and stay out of black areas....sad to say, but if we can't face realty then we're doomed to live in a fantasy.
