I can see how frustrated that Scott is to the point he had to make this video, that being said this is one of the funniest videos ive seen in a while lol (im sorry 😂)
Bro I’m convinced the glasses comments are all made by people who aren’t horrifically vision impaired because the first thing I do when I wake up is put my glasses on, and the last thing I do before I go to bed is I take them off.
I fall asleep with my glasses on all the time. It is usually not on purpose (unless it is a short nap then Idc) but I could do it intentionally if I wanted without any issues. So I have no idea why people are so mad about thinking you might have slept with them on. I don't move a lot in my sleep so my glasses are always still on when I wake up. Only downside is they get smudge/ dirty by touching my skin
I have absolutely 100% have had these conversations... and I'm about to have one now. chapstick actually does work, just not the way people think. it acts as an occlusive bandage to keep your natural oils and mucosal membranes from being rubbed away by friction or dehydrated by the environment around you, which does assist in controlling the problem far better than a baseline of nothing, but arguably not much better than doing other things like, say, putting glue all over your lips or laying face down and not moving. the petroleum itself does nothing, but it does act like an occlusive bandage. and keeping your natural hydration goo trapped on your dehydrated parts with unnatural non-hydration glues does fuction to retain said natural hydration. therefore, it is not a placebo. it is a treatment vehicle. a placebo is a proxy or artificial medication. it is neither. it is more like a medical device. no one would call crutches or gauze or bandages "placebos" please note that "occlusive" is not the same as "exclusive" nor is it the same as "occlusive" as it relates to speach. "occlusive" in medicine or skincare is a dressing or bandage or ointment or otherwise barrier that keeps the environment OUT, and whatever you're trying to actually use to treat the issue IN. So, no. Not a placebo. But also not the treatment. the treatment is your own mucus. the thing about chapstick that also rules is that it usually smells or tastes good as well, which makes people more likely to persist with the treatment until their own body heals itself. and patient compliance is also an important factor in treatments. if you'd like to argue more about the technical definitions of "treatments," "dressings," "vehicles (in regards to treatment delivery not limited to 1. additions of medications or 2. optimizing a bodies own ability to heal 3. subtractions or diminishment of negative environmental stimuli) and the term "placebo" (which was used incorrectly in this video) or the term "chapstick" (also used innapropriately in this video), I'm always available. If you want to optimize the effectiveness of chapstick, you should put a fluid that more correctly mimics your bodies own fluids (like jojoba or aloe) which causes an increase in bioavailability of oil and water on a molecular level as it is more freely absorbed, and then trap it there with a layer of chapstick as tho you were artificially imprisoning your healing with an occlusive treatment thank you
I think it was a lot of Ethiopians who just misunderstood what he was trying to say. They probably thought he meant "Ethiopia doesn't HAVE a language" but that isn't what he said at all...he just meant the language of Ethiopeia ISN'T called Ethiopian. EDIT: I worry for some people...they were clearly born without common sense...how they made it this far in life is amazing.
I think a lot of them also for some reason thought he was saying Ethiopa isn't a country. Like because he said "Ethiopian isn't a language" that somehow meant he was saying "Ethiopia isn't a real place."
I’m just glad to know I’m not the only one who has online arguments stick with them lmao. There have been times I KNOW I’m right about a fact and I can even look it up and prove I am, but people will swear up and down about their wrong ideas. Or, when I post some stupid opinion or fandom headcanon and someone tries to um actually it because it contradicts with their headcanon/opinion as if that’s how any of that works! But it’s still BURNED INTO MY BRAIN
Right? Some people will swear the sky is green just because they say it is, and no amount of reality will ever change their mind because they would rather be considered dumb than wrong.
I once got into an online argument with someone over whether a line from a movie was "you two" or "you to." Maybe part of it was my fault for not letting a minor issue go, but it was really frustrating how she got all mad about me calling her a liar when I never implied that. I just said she was mistaken. In retrospect, I kind of wonder if she was lying since that's where her brain went right away. (She cited a fan site for the movie to back her position up. I didn't know what she meant by this and could only assume she meant a transcript of the movie on that site. Later I looked it up and the transcript agreed with me!)
@@theadaptationstationmaster the most recent one to haunt me doesn’t haunt me because “I’m right” but because it was such an absolute nothing for someone to be up in arms over. So while Ethiopians might be a people, Ethiopian is not a language.... ya' dummies. Kudos to you, Scott. PS- Selam is "hello" in Amharic. *spelled for English readers.*
This reminds me of the whole “My sister-in-law was getting married” debacle on Austin McConnell’s channel. Like people just COULD NOT COMPREHEND the idea that Austin has a wife, who has a sister, who got married. 😂
This has been without a doubt the most stressful and emotionally distressing couple weeks of my life. Thanks for making me laugh Scott. I really needed it today
This kills me because it is every time somebody argues with me about something I’ve done research on and know is correct, but they say I’m wrong. The worst part is even if you prove them wrong with cold hard facts, they’ll never admit they were wrong. They just deflect “Oh well this person told me that, they’re the one that’s wrong!”
I’ve found that a lot of Ethiopian people, especially those who have never lived in the country but do speak the language, use the words Amharic and Ethiopian interchangeably or exclusively call Amharic Ethiopian. So that’s my guess for why so many people who claimed to be Ethiopian called you wrong. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I have leave-in contacts and have been sleeping in them for many years. Is that not right? Cuz my eye doctor told me I could. :(
Fun fact: Billy's mom (who sleeps with her glasses on) actually speaks Ethiopian. Just something I can confirm.
Didn't she die?
When Scott said “after my son was born” I had to rewind to make sure I heard that right. Maybe I’m out of the loop here, but congrats Scott!!! Hope you and your family are doing well!
I can see how frustrated that Scott is to the point he had to make this video, that being said this is one of the funniest videos ive seen in a while lol (im sorry 😂)
The reactions to that bullying video make me want to thank English teachers everywhere for their hard work and patience
I don’t think the English teachers are doing such a Good job if this is the result 😂
English teachers could certainly use the thanks, but it sounds like this was more of a not-paying-attention-to-the-dialogue issue.
Bro I’m convinced the glasses comments are all made by people who aren’t horrifically vision impaired because the first thing I do when I wake up is put my glasses on, and the last thing I do before I go to bed is I take them off.
Good to see that you're not spiraling into insanity or anything, Scott
This is the first video on this channel where I truly feel like Scott Is Struggling
'Why are you booing me? I'm right!'
~basically Scott in this video
Scott raging about rude ass comments is really the energy I needed today 😂 ilysm!
I have absolutely 100% have had these conversations... and I'm about to have one now. chapstick actually does work, just not the way people think. it acts as an occlusive bandage to keep your natural oils and mucosal membranes from being rubbed away by friction or dehydrated by the environment around you, which does assist in controlling the problem far better than a baseline of nothing, but arguably not much better than doing other things like, say, putting glue all over your lips or laying face down and not moving. the petroleum itself does nothing, but it does act like an occlusive bandage. and keeping your natural hydration goo trapped on your dehydrated parts with unnatural non-hydration glues does fuction to retain said natural hydration. therefore, it is not a placebo. it is a treatment vehicle. a placebo is a proxy or artificial medication. it is neither. it is more like a medical device. no one would call crutches or gauze or bandages "placebos"
please note that "occlusive" is not the same as "exclusive" nor is it the same as "occlusive" as it relates to speach.
If you want to optimize the effectiveness of chapstick, you should put a fluid that more correctly mimics your bodies own fluids (like jojoba or aloe) which causes an increase in bioavailability of oil and water on a molecular level as it is more freely absorbed, and then trap it there with a layer of chapstick as tho you were artificially imprisoning your healing with an occlusive treatment
thank you
I think it was a lot of Ethiopians who just misunderstood what he was trying to say.
I think so, but I also think a lot of people just wanted to be mad about it even if they're not Ethiopian
I think a lot of them also for some reason thought he was saying Ethiopa isn't a country. Like because he said "Ethiopian isn't a language" that somehow meant he was saying "Ethiopia isn't a real place."
100%
A fandom post was like “I see this one character as bisexual, what headcanons do you have?” And my comment was a series of mine including that the character they think is bi is one I see as a fellow asexual. I had weirdos on the internet commenting underneath saying I was committing “bisexual erasure” with my headcanon.
Like… what? Absolute nonsense
@@averyeml That is kind of odd that the discussion started out with the premise of "we're going to share all our differing headcanons" and then people got mad about yours contradicting someone else's. 🤷♂
I got into a heated argument on a website that now shows dislike notifications with usernames. Totally not fun to have that occasionally thrown back in my face even though I was 100% right. It was just infuriating to be arguing with someone over some absolutely dumb horseshit and now to have people to this day downvoting me...
As a teacher, I’m very familiar with this feeling! I have no idea how students teach the conclusions they do (and confidently, too!)sometimes
To think how much emotional turmoil Scott could have been spared, had the writers for a kids show made by a billion dollar company just done like literally ten seconds of research.
8:19 "when we were at the hospital after my son was born" EXCUSE ME, what did I miss?!
I KNOW LIKE WHAT
He has been a bit private about it, he first “announced” it at the end of his big end of the year video (ruclips.net/video/oa5H3An60PY/видео.html)
@@stephaniefrost4910 aww that's so cute
I love that you never know what you’re going to get when Scott drops a video but you know it will be good.
Absolutely!
I love this video because these are also the things that keep me up at night. What is worse when people try to make you feel stupid for something you know is wrong. It has happened to me a lot and I am glad you were able to get it off your chest lol. These are the things at 3:00 AM when you are staring at the ceiling you think about.
This is your most relatable video yet, thank you for taking us with you on this journey of insanity
Selam Scott, I didn't doubt you for a second when you mentioned Ethiopian not being a language a while back. I used to work at the Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson International Airport and had a lot of Ethiopian friends there and they definitely, definitely spoke Amharic. So while Ethiopians might be a people, Ethiopian is not a language.... ya' dummies. Kudos to you, Scott.
PS- Selam is "hello" in Amharic. *spelled for English readers.*
Grateful I’ve never thought a wrong thing
Sameeeeee.
I've never make a mistake two.
@@bungiecrimes7247 mmmm self control is a virtue I have so little of and this is testing every bit of it
This reminds me of the whole “My sister-in-law was getting married” debacle on Austin McConnell’s channel. Like people just COULD NOT COMPREHEND the idea that Austin has a wife, who has a sister, who got married. 😂
Your slow descent into despair over the Bobby’s mom thing was glorious.
The Bobby’s mom thing is so insane. How can someone not comprehend this?????!!!!!
The struggle is real Scott. Sometimes I think I’m going crazy reading RUclips comments
For real. A very fitting video for the Scott is struggling channel
this actively made me laugh. thank youuuuuuuuu
I’m glad you settled the language debate. At this point we should call you Captain Amharica
I deeply relate to the energy of this whole video
This has been without a doubt the most stressful and emotionally distressing couple weeks of my life.
Thanks for making me laugh Scott. I really needed it today
Sending love ❤️ I hope you get some relief.
Hope it gets much better whatever the struggle is, wish I could send you another video to cheer u up even more
@@DiMagnolia ❤️ thank you
@@vlogily8043 ❤️ thank you. Scott has so many nice people who watch his videos 🥹 I appreciate the kind words
I’m so sorry you’re going through this 😞 Sending hugs & praying for comfort and peace for you ❤️
As Danny Gonzalez says to his fanbase: "Can we get a little more critical thinking" lol I get the frustration on all of these
This kills me because it is every time somebody argues with me about something I’ve done research on and know is correct, but they say I’m wrong. The worst part is even if you prove them wrong with cold hard facts, they’ll never admit they were wrong. They just deflect “Oh well this person told me that, they’re the one that’s wrong!”
People will jump through so many hoops before they do a simple Google search 😅
Did I miss a video where he said he has a son?? Belated congrats to Scott and Jaden! 🎉
I wanna say it was at the very end of the video where he reviewed every video he made in 2022
I’ve found that a lot of Ethiopian people, especially those who have never lived in the country but do speak the language, use the words Amharic and Ethiopian interchangeably or exclusively call Amharic Ethiopian. So that’s my guess for why so many people who claimed to be Ethiopian called you wrong. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I work with two guys that immigrated from Ethiopia. Ethiopian is in fact, not a language. They spoke Somali before they came to the US.

This is the most Scott is struggling video I have ever seen

I didn’t know you had a kid recently, congrats man, happy for you!
Actually I read in bed and fall asleep with my glasses on all the time! Drives my husband crazy. If he does not remove them I wake up with glasses on ; or they fall off when I turn over!😅
Christopher’s dead mom called to tell me that Scott wears glasses while speaking Ethiopian in his sleep.
It seems like everyone wants to be right and say "GOTCHA!" whenever they assume someone made a mistake. Nice
God this video is cathartic as fuck, the way you reacted to 90 percent of those comments is how I felt reading them
I need more videos of Scott just dunking on stupid comments
To sum up this Video
Ethopian is not a language
Scott puts on his Glasses when he gets up in the morning
And Bobby's Mom called Billy's Mom to talk about Billy bullying Kristopher for not having a Mom at school
Favorite video from you in a while. We need more of frustrated scott
Scott: "Why are you booing me? I'm right!"
Can we gaslight scot into thinking Ethiopian is a language?
Only if we also gaslight him into thinking Mexican is a language
Pyro on youtube his comments are just people's fanfics on him an gaslighting him it's obsuserd lolz
No.
We don't need to, it is a language already
It wouldn’t be gaslighting if it’s true
"We learn, we move on, we become better people" You wouldn't think that, looking at a lot of places on the internet.
I can't believe I missed the video where you become a dad! Congratulations, man!
Absolutely flaming your comment section from 2 years ago is the energy 2023 needs. Thank you Scott
I know this video is very tongue in cheek, but I hope Scott is doing well and getting some sleep with the new boi and all :)
Since this is a nitpicky correction video, I have to tell you the phrase is “tongue IN cheek”, not “AND”. 😅
@@DKF_oli Alright, I had to Google the turn of phrase before to make sure I was using it properly, but didn't catch that :) Thanks for correcting me :P

this is so perfect for me rn i got into an instagram comment argument with random women about MY PROFESSION which they didn’t go to school for or do everyday like girl u know nothing
This is my new favorite video on this channel
Holy shit this is hilarious
“After my son was born” wait I missed an entire child
People being confidently incorrect is probably my biggest annoyance in life.
Because it is perfectly OKAY to *not know things*
Do you know how much better and more mature you look when you can just admit that you don't know something? Just say "Yeah, honestly, I have no idea" or "I don't know right now, but I might look more into that later."
But noOOOOooooOoo!
Everyone on the internet wants to be an expert in everything all the time!
Which is hilarious because even REAL EXPERTS on most subjects don't have the attitude these people do!
It literally takes 2 seconds to verify a simple piece on information before conveying it to someone else. These people straight up have no excuse for being so wrong!
