I've had my Etsy shop for about a year and a half. It's a small shop with only 17 listings and 22 sales. I just had a listing removed by Etsy, stating the listing didn't meet Etsy's Creativity Standards. I crochet teddy bears that I have designed myself. No other people involved. How much more handmade can you get? The listing that was removed was a glow in the dark ghost teddy bear. I sent an email to customer support and received a response that repeated the guidelines and that Etsy support cannot provide more information. Do I need to keep contacting Etsy support even though it seems to be a waste of time? Is there some other method of contacting an actual person? I've hunted all over the support pages and can't find a way to appeal. Do I just re-list the teddy bear? I honestly don't know what would have triggered a removal.

Check to see if the photo has been stolen by either Alibaba, Aliexpress, Temu, or Shein. Etsy has been using photo recognition to remove listings that have photos on those websites because they say that if they're being sold there, you're reselling them, even though they also say that they know a lot of use have had photos stolen. You can probably relist it, but change the phtoos completely so that they're totally new. That way if they've been stolen, you'll have different ones.

@@KaraBuntinTutorials Thanks for your reply. I checked the photos and none were found except the ones I listed. On a good note, I was able to contact Etsy and get a call back. Today I received an email stating my listing had been taken down in error. It should be back up soon. Yay!

Apparently their “mission and brand” have slightly changed!

Hello, I have a quick question which I Hope you can answer to :) I opened my shop in 2021, sold 2/3 items and got a review then I stopped using Etsy. I started using it again months ago: I changed the title, got better graphic, I consistently work on it but get around 10/12 visits per day, sometimes even less than that. I sold a few things but it's usually 1 item per month. Do you think it could be because my shop was left unused for a long time? I tried everything, I dont get what I am doing wrong anf it's frustrating. Thank you in advance

That shouldn't be a factor now that you're back and are active in the shop. It can take a logn time to get activity in an Etsy shop, and you need to send your own traffic to it to get most of it started. The average Etsy seller only makes about $1600 a year (not a month) the last thing I heard, so jsut having a shop doesn't guarantee that you'll sell anything. YOu really have to approach Etsy like it's a website until it gets up and running with regular sales.

I had to remove all my sheer lingerie. I’m not allowed to show any buttocks at all. I got an email from Trust and Safety saying I was in violation and they gave me a deadline to remove the offending content.
