- Join us as we start our journey back into 1/ 10 scale TC racing. We plan to run in the stock class with a 17.5 turn brushless set up... but there is a problem.
The touring car scene is a mind field and we have much to learn along the way.
We take the team powere R3G and convert it in to the T3M full carbon 1/10 touring car.
But is it any good, lets see how we get on on the track.
Is this the best RC car chassis you can get for £300.
RACEOPT T3M conversion of the R3-G with low profile shock tower conversion and roll bar kit.
You will need to get the base R3G and Purchase Roll Bars Kit, 2021 Upgrade chassis kit and Low Profile Shock Conversion all for about £300.00. Or maybe just ask for what POPALONG RC got and they will know what you want.
www.team-power...
Their is also a Facebook support group with over 1000 raceopt users who run the cars across different countries so you end up getting 24hours support.

Ah the old touring car mine field. The first 75% of performance is pretty easy to achieve, and although it's a bit slow, the fixed timing motor is lovely for getting your eye in and sorting a basic set up - looks like you're there with that now. That last 25% is all marginal gains. Better motors, better batteries, more measurement gear, tyres & additive. It's a fun journey though and feels great to make nice steps forward in performance each time you go to the track.
Enjoy guys! If you can, Popalong to one of the MICC events this winter to really have your eyes opened to carpet touring cars.
Totally agree Andy, defo have to popalong too!
Great job guys always learning and sharing. Keep it up.
Cheers Matrix
Justock is perfect speed for that track unfortunately the other motors are much quicker. Which is why FWD is so popular with it's Justock combo and rev controlled motor. Stock class can get very expensive with the new motor of the month, new batteries and re-generative discharging. A Justock 4wd class ran to to the same rules as the fwd's using realistic 4/5 door TC bodies would be fantastic
Absolutely Luke, I think there’s definitely something in a just stock class.
This is most annoying thing about rc .. keeping up with Jones’
@@beardbuffet5348 definitely that's why I race mod, only problem we have is cars are now too fast for the tyres to consistently keep up. A few of us ran 5t blinky at my local outdoor club at the weekend and it was fantastic and the first final had 4 blinky cars covered by less than 2 secs
Sounds great
We feel the pain
yes exactly TC is all about small changes The amount of adjustability in my 1/5 TC MCD Duox is absolutely phenomenal
We are yet to venture into the world of 1/5 but we will do one day
Loving the in-depth journey. Would be great to see your TC battle.
All in good time.. we will be on track again soon
Your RC car driving skills are professional.👍👍👍
Thank you we are still improving
Another great video. Can wait for the next. Thank you
Thanks for watching …. This is just the beginning
Great video lads! I love learning about fine details or the "nitty gritty" as we say and I'm looking forward to seeing (and learning) your videos and watching how you do all these small changes.. As they say it's the small things that matter.. That's what I tell my wife anyways.. 🤣
Don’t we all … it’s all in the details
I run the r3g and love it such a fun car to drive
they are great
Just watched your video guys it's awesome yes you have the same has me there brilliant and very fast too 😀👍
Need for speed
Way cool touring cars
Thanks for watching 👍
Watching this closely guys. Done some of a season outdoor and only had 2 rounds with my car (xpress xq2s), but now the indoor season is away to start I’m really looking to improve my skills and the car. Also you guys have your stickers available? 😂
XQ2s is on our radar
Very interested to see your journey with these and thanks for sharing. I wonder what persuaded you away from the 2WD frontie to the 4WD?
We are running a 2wd MTC but have not completely discounted the fronties
So stay tuned.
Hmm the left body looks like DogsBollox which im using now for asphalt.
It is a great shell and performs well on track
Nice one guy, lots to learn about dynamics but just think about how fast does a golf ball go after it's been hit lol ☄️drag
And how quick it stops when it hits a bunker
Guys, good video, but you've never said which motor is better than HobbyWing 17.5?
Please let us know.
The Teampowers 17.5 motor is apparently amazing 👍
Come to aldershot and race them. Their winter series starts this month.
Sounds good! What’s the tyre choice??
I'm not too sure, I think you can use anything brca approve but don't quote me on that. Might be worth checking on their website and or Facebook.
Another great video . One question where did you get the Lotus body shell (Car in front of Mark)..cheers
It’s the phat bodies 300r mtc shell👍
@@PopalongRC Thanks for that.
what motor do you recommend for rc touring
Teampowers 17.5 for stock👍
That being said there are rule changes coming into play next year so this might change
What's the new motor you're going with?
Hobbywing G4
First!
