Thank you for sharing this. Brings back memories. I also worked at the park many summer's in the food stands. Brought my children there many times also. This video was so fun to watch! Thanks again for posting it
Some areas look completely unchanged today, others are very different. The midway with the Palace Arcade must have gotten a major facelift since then. This video has a lot of footage of the old Galaxi/Rockin' Rider coaster--the Frisbee is there now.
I was about to turn 7 when this was filmed, and visited many, many times when I was a kid. I actually looked to see if I was in the video - LOL! This is the Canobie Lake Park I remember.
Would it be possible for you to post videos of how the Merrimack Plaza in Methuen MA used to look like in the 90's and early 2000 years back when the Dollar Tree store used to be Jeepers, the indoor amusement park with the arcade games, playground/ball pit, bumper cars, and dragon rollercoaster? God, that would make my day! 😁

@@ambor hi ambammba and thank you for you're reply well I'm happy to hear it's still in business you say not much has changed well it can take a lot of money to make changes or more so if it expands like Disneyland did as it would mean more property like Disneyland did not cheap to run amusement park with some costing more than other's depending on the type of amusement park you are running up keep repairing replacing old out dates type of rides the cost of labor of all the people that work for you and all the other expense well goodnight and have very good and happy thanksgiving ambammba (yes tomorrow I plan on eating like there's no tomorrow) lol :-D ha ha :-)
@@nicks2477 hi Nick S and thank you for you're reply and I'm glad to hear that the amusement park is still doing good and it's good that they offered so new stuff that's good and smart business in all the different tuff time's and year's so many smaller amusement park's have had to close for different reasons and some we're good park's that I have been to when I was kid made me real sad to see them close they we're great park's read that as it was the the developer's pay off the government so the developer's could get lot of property other time's the owner died or it was just to much money to stay opened well goodnight and you have a very goodnight and weekend Nick S :-)
Still open. It’s a bit bigger now but they can’t expand too much because it’s surrounded by residential area. There’s now a water park with a splash pad and dump bucket that was added in the late 2000’s and in 2019 they expanded it further and added a tidal River and three water slides. In 2008 they started a Halloween event which was highly successful. The roller rink now houses two of their haunted houses. This park is not going anywhere any time soon.
Did security there overnight from 1994-1996. Without all the noise of the day, place was creepy as heck at night.
I have vivid memories of going to that place as a kid. Thanks for uploading!
Wow, canobie used to look like an amusement park rather than a carnival!
Thank you for sharing this. I’m obsessed with the past and have been binging videos of where I have been visiting. Comparing them to before and after.

Wow. You built a time machine. Much appreciated!
Yall that's crazy! It's so different now!
Thank you for posting this. The memories. Place is completely different

I was hoping to see the arcade. They had early claw machines with cigarettes & zippo lighters as prizes.
Wow wow wow amazing I remember going in the early and mid 90s then started going just to six flags but what a time and place

With the exception of a handful of ride changes, it still more or less looks the same
thanks for uploading this
it looks kind of weird when untamed isn't there and its just plain forest and that abandon rocket ship ride :/

It's definitely still in business and still surprisingly similar to when this video was made: www.canobie.com/

can vouch, park still has its same charm but with a few updated attractions, very nice park overall.
