I’ve been driving Scania’s for years now and I love them. Have to agree these facelift 2018 onwards models are a big step up in terms of ride comfort and interior quality.
Man you are a genius, I love trucks and I admire the way you broke the details down, you know your stuff bro... This is probably the best review i have seen anywhere, be it auto, gadget, etc... Scania needs to pay you for this, on a serious note..
I am soon to become the class 1 driver, hopefully by the September. Watching this review makes me more excited, impatient, and bit nervous. Also great way of advertising company, really professional and appealing (to potential customers). Web page is great too, many companies lack that kind of approach to business.
Yo bruv I really enjoy your videos! I have absolutely no interest in construction but this shit is entertaining af. I going to watch all of your videos, like, and leave this comment on all of them. Keep going bro!
"those boys want to drive a big 730 with 200 lights on the front and bars" It's the so called "tangs" you speak of hai😂 Nah no need for a V8 round the big smoke. The dc-13 is more than enough, usual rule of thumb is 10bhp/ton, hence most supermarket brands and motorway monkeys run 440 and 450 bhp wagons. 500 is just about right o your type of work. You forgot to mention the remote night heater control via the Scania fleet up. Fair review tho, top job.
Yes you need V8 when pulling heavy haul trailer with 50..60..70 tons of loads on it. You need torque to pull such a loads and yes we have 200 lights on bars 😎
@@NickKolythas who talked about V8 engine? Scania just came out with new 770hp V8 BTW. And if you look selling numbers Scania VS Man should tell why truckers prefer Scania over Man- comfort and overall Scania is on next level. But video is 👍
@@fboest you did. You dont need 600 or 700 horses v8 they do make v8 with 520 hp if im not wrong, you get the low down torque and use less fuel than the 6 cylinder engines that scania make.
I now drive freight trains, but I do miss my Scania. Lorry driving had more variation and challenges. Also I took a lot of pride in my truck, it was my own space. The locomotives that pull trains are used day and night and you might not see the same locomotive again for weeks. There is no pride in them. But the money in Railways is so much better. Annually I make 3x more than I could trucking working half the amount of hours.
Great review Dan The lads at top gear will be shaking in their boots lol always wishing well for you and Ashville already networking been supervising for a large company called RW Armstrong&son these last six years only do enormous projects have put your name about already and will continue to. Keep up the great work Ashville. Very best wishes always Danny Boy.
@@thisisashville Hello Ashville...you have real inspired me...iam venturing into Construction and Agriculture, here in Tanzania, and would love to learn more from you and Probably need your guide me as a Starter...Lived in London for 5 yrs before.
Znice work Daniel. Very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. I'm considering using my Hgv license after recent job loss but can find a firm who'll let me be home by 4pm so I can take care of my lil one. 😒. Keep up the good work.
they should put a scale or some sort of sensor to read load weight and it beeps just before it over loads. or just a simple line painted in the container
Nice review, however the reason for 315/80/22.5 tyres is not for thicker sidewalls unless your running kerbing bands which I wouldn’t advise as tyres heat up and can go bang if your doing a lot of motorway work. The real reason for 315/80/22.5 tyres is the height/ground clearance the tyre gives you for off road use & the fact the tyre has a slightly higher load rating compared to 295/80/22.5. Also I’ve seen your kit out and about and it looks lovely! Nice work!
The light check has been standard issue for around 11 years now, no disrespect. Saw you had a lot of other makes and models. They don’t have this feature, I’ve got a 2013 r440 and people come and ask how do you make it do that? They’re driving brand new s500’s etc. my normal cab R500 manual tag is on the road next month😍
So heavy. Thats heavier than our fully specced sleeper 15-16L linehaul units here in nz. Not surprised it gets stuck . Should have specced it 6x4 without question especially for offroad
These wagon drivers these days don't know they're born! Such little effort to drive these modern day vehicles. I'm from the old school, used to Eaton twin-splitters and 4/4 with half split. But as this vid demonstrates....the wonderful world of trucking has moved on.
what does the air horns sound like cause you shouldve bern at the yard and say a stupid driver was infront of you then you could blow the airhorns so we know how loud it is

How automatic transmission works? Is there any problems with transmission
@@Sloba1992 Sometimes When going up hill it switches and instantly switches down and then starts looping until youre going only like 30kmh
I’m not a truck driver, or even in England, no clue why this was recommended. But I watched every min of it.

@@fboest yes you need torque but a volvo 750 produces round about the same as the scania 730 or 770 with way less maintanace and noise
But the v8 is more economical than scania 6 cylinder engines. For me the only reason you would buy a scania is for the v8

Hey! Why does it have double wheels in the follow rear axle?
Also it already has a break line i the windshield? 😢
Dan, how long ago and how many years did you drive truck?
Such a inspiration really enjoy your videos quick question how I do get hold of one of them hoodies looking sharp keep up the excellent work 😁😁👊👊
These r500's are brilliant i drive an 18 plate and love it . I drove our new gen 520 v8 last week and the r500 6 cylinder is way better .
The company I work for we have a 650s on euro work there getting 9.8 mpg avg on a run from j17 m4 to rungis in France
I got a fully loaded scania down to 1.7 mpg uphill fully loaded
I came now after Watching the Drag Race on Matt's channel😀😀
Amazing lorry but you can't beat a V8 but for Ashville its got enough power for the jobs it needs doing I agree
Do you use volvo truck tractor unit

You should get that windscreen changed 😁😁
Nice
Hay hay hay its scania all the way hi from brit man in austrailia thanks bud in the words of tony the tiger THERE GRATE haha ok be safe out there
Scania features
It's like a pickup truck
It's 'mod-cons'. Modern conveniences
What engine does it have if not a V8? Also it would be good if you add how much these trucks cost as most of us have no idea!
It will be a straight 6 mate. Price wise your looking around and above the 6 figure mark
❤️❤️❤️
6 be 2, classic
Bro you could do a volvo vs scania challenge
When are you buying a v8
Large crack in the windscreen there, that would be a DOT failure for starters.
