I partially agree. I would say that it needs to have a kyber crystal due to how Disney canon has changed how kyber crystals work. That being said, I imagine the crystal has simply absorbed the Mandalorian identity, which in both canon and legends has proven to have a very strong ideology. Din Djarin is currently undergoing the Mandalorian equivalent of a mid-life crisis, and I imagine as he comes to understand and accept both the past of his people and his new role in their future, the Darksaber will come to accept him as well.
This is pretty good :) I agree,Darksaber has sense, can sense, feel, and choose. It's extremely powerful. It gives everybody the ability to touch the Force. It's amazing! And good. May the Force be with you too
I went into it in a different thread, but I think the Darksaber is very unique. Disney has turned kyber crystals into semi-sentient if not fully sentient beings, which seems to be utilized as much or as little as a given writer wants it to be for their particular piece of media. But, with Filoni and Favreau stewarding the Mandalorian, I think the Darksaber is getting special attention, which it justly deserves. The Darksaber has spent millennia in Mandalorian society, presumably. Passed from great warrior to great warrior, it's reasonable to say that the Darksaber was able to absorb the Mandalorian identity from these Mandalores that have come before, as there isn't a single other lightsaber that has been passed down through thousands of years worth of the timeline. Din Djarin is currently undergoing his midlife crisis as a Mandalorian. He's met Mandalorians in his journey that don't fit the strict regime that he's lived under his entire life, yet they have proven themselves honorable in their own right, at least in the case of Boba Fett(he simply hasn't done enough with Bo-Katan to have gathered this opinion of her). Suffice to say, even with the fact that the Darksaber may be aware his first instinct was to give it away to a "cursed" leader in Bo-Katan, the darksaber is feeding off of Din Djarin's uncertainty in his own beliefs, and by extension of that, himself. My expectation after putting thought to this topic is that Season 3 is going to take Din Djarin on a spiritual and ideological journey as he meets more Mandalorians, and all of them flock to him as their leader, despite his wishes not to be Mandalore (Life of Brian, if you know, you know). Throughout this journey I imagine he will learn, piece by piece, the past of Mandalore, and through the many lenses provided by Boba Fett, a True Mandalorian (Legends, I know, but I can hope.), Bo-Katan Kryze, a former Death Watch member, Nite Owl leader, and even two-time Mandalore, and the various other subgroups of Mandalorians the trailer was hinting that he'll find. These many lenses would certainly give him insights, and perhaps help him to understand the flaws of Mandalorian society as it was and now is. This all would culminate with him reaching the sacred pools beneath the mines of Mandalore, cleansing himself in his own eyes. I imagine at this point we'll see a massive increase in his abilitiy to wield the weapon, as he shakes off the doubt in himself after breaking faith with all he's ever known. Then, in order to govern all the subgroups of Mandalorians flocking to him as their Mandalore, I expect he will institute a series of cultural reforms, issuing a new creed that governs Mandalorian society in a more unifying manner, one that may become oddly reminiscent of the True Mandalorians under Jaster Mereel, at which point the Darksaber will truly accept him, and his full potential with it will be unlocked. This is just my theory, and I would love to hear what everyone thinks about it, especially @The Stupendous Wave. A pin would be cool too, if you like the theory, and I'd love to discuss it further.
One idea I think would be very interesting to see is a series or perhaps a movie based around Tar Visula and his life, how he created the Darksaber and how he merged Jedi and Mandalorian philosophy into his life. I feel like if we could get more information about Tar Visula we would undoubtedly understand more about the Darksaber itself. We can only learn so much about the Darksaber from studying the blade itself but to truly understand it we have to look at the man who created it. Lightsabers are reflections of those that make them so the question is what does the Darksaber say about Tar Visula. Perhaps if we knew more about him we’d understand so much more about the Darksaber and perhaps why it responds to non Force sensitives. But something I’d like to point out is that most non Force sensitives that have used the Darksaber have all be Mandalorian, Pre Visula, Sabine Wren, Bo Katan, Din Djarin, all of them were Mandalorian and non Force sensitives. Perhaps the nature of the blade makes it so that only either a Force Sensitive or a Mandalorian can wield it effectively. Perhaps this also has something to do with Tar Visula and the way he built the Darksaber. The unfortunate thing is until we learn more about Tar Visula we won’t learn more about the Darksaber beyond just speculation. Hopefully they’ll give us more information about him someday.
One thing I’ve seen pretty prominently in recent fanfiction is the treatment of the Darksaber as a sort of Mandalorian Excalibur with some varying level of sentience. This has ranged from the saber having a personality and limited free will, to being a mere repository of all the consciouses of all the previous leaders of Mandalorians. I myself like this view and wish it was more blatantly canonized, but I’m still content with its representation on canon. What I’d like to see in the Mandalorian is for Din Djarin to actually become one of the greatest Mand’alors in recent history.
Tarre Viszla sealed his soul within the kyber crystal of his saber. I also think Tarre Viszla was a metalsmith, since only Mandalorian smiths can fully utilize beskar properly. I also think, that despite the Mandalorians having a low Force sensitivity statistic compared to other peoples, their smiths are the ones with the most sensitivity (though Tarre remains the only one to become a Jedi). While others have enough sensitivity to wield the Force, any Jedi Seeker was turned down by the child's parents except Tarre's.
Just a thought… the lightsaber is with its companion (Jedi) and is constructed for them. This is a emotional act and one would feel a connection to it. If we observe the crystal as alive then it would have a one on one connection. Now that said the dark saber is unique. We already know this. This is a light saber for the people. All the emotions of an entire plant/race/religion/order all fall into this lightsaber. Instead of one connection it has millions. All with the love and pride of their people (regardless of infighting). It’s not a black saber. It’s another way of putting all the colors of the crystals together. If you put all the colors of a rainbow together you get a white light. If you do that with pigment you get black. This shows the combined hearts of all Mandalorians.
It also makes you think about how you use it. Just thinking practically, the blades of lightsabers have no weight, only the weight of the hilt in your hand. Thus making fluid lightsaber combat something only trained profesionals can accomplish safely. Whereas the darksaber can be extremely heavy if you don't have the right train of thought. So again, practically speaking, it would be easier for a non force sensitive person to use the darksaber because it's weight would be more evenly distributed like an actual sword (or vibroblade), thus making it safer for the user. Unless you're Din Djarin with two left feet and have never used a sword in your life and accidentally slice your leg open, lol.

That would also explain why a lightsaber can’t cut through Beskar, because it is like as if it was forced imbued like the Jedi did with their swords and stuffs and it also explain why when the dark saber comes into contact with it causes the Beskar to heat up and that would make sense Beskar crystal is what powers The dark saber, which would have a stronger force connection because the Beskar in the dark saber is it’s raw form

This is one of the best videos yet because it explains how Finn and Rey could be such Mary Sues in lightsaber combat against Kylo Ren in Episode VII. I mean, I always assumed that First Order Stormtroopers were given some rudimentary training with lightsabers anyway, since in their case the possibility of meeting up with a Jedi was real, but for Rey to be doing so well in a saber duel without any training was a bit beyond the pale. (On the other hand, Luke's natural abilities were so strong that he was able to sense and deflect lasers with only a few moments' training. But he didn't translate that into fighting skill in Episode IV, so we never saw what an untrained Jedi strong in the Force could nevertheless do with a lightsaber.)

I’m not 110% percent sure I mean I always believed that the reason why non-force sensitives could wield it it because of the blade shape where normal lightsabers are shaped like cylinders where the dark saber is flat like a actual sword
...WHAT
I can’t be the only one who sees that the dark saber legit is the elder wand of the star wars universe have to win it’s allegiance to truly unlock its potential 💯🔥
Maybe the dark saber is not special at all , just the fact that it is passed on that is special .
This video makes me wonder what season 3 of the Mandalorian will bring. Do you have any fan theories?
I think you're off...my 2 cents is the Dark Saber can sense the conflict inside Din...the Armorer even says so...Bo-Katan isn't conflicted she has a purpose and willpower...
Meh, Luke trains his ass off with Yoda and still gets trounced by Vader and loses a hand for it. It was still just lazy writing.
Idk about the theory, Maul seemed to able to use it pretty well and he was a force sensetive.
The theory never said it force sensitives couldnt use it. Plus maul genuinely felt he was a warrior
More inclined to believe it's a synthetic crystal
The Dark Saber = Wands in Harry Potter
There really *are* no new ideas in Hollywood, are there?🤣
This actually showed up in my suggestions while watching a Harry Potter Wand Lore video. True story.
What..? I’m pregaming for Hogwarts Legacy. Don’t judge me, bro. 🤣
What if there was a bunch of mandalorian jedi that had jet pack an dark saber an army of previsla. Or a small unit of 4 to5 elite mandos with dark sabers . What if that's just the color mandalorians kyber crystal turn there clear at first until a jedi finds it and it turns blue ,yellow or green. What if mandos are always black because they are the opposite of jedi attachments ect !!!!!!
How was the armorers weapons able to block the darksabre in the book of Boba fet?
Her weapons are beskar
@@chdh6556 I get that but she even said beskar is for armor not for weapons as they can perhaps be used against them.
@@michaelblackburn2788 she’s a blacksmith, she needs beskar to shape beskar. Her “weapons” are tools she just so happens to crack people over the skull with lmfaooo
very wheel of time
Most unique blade so far 🤪🤪🤪
yes. it is very much a Stormbringer, Id wager:) thats MY theory. ;)
Maybe the dark saber is alive
Day 59 of asking for a part 3 of what if anakin was trained by qui gon
If the darksaber is a more sentient type of lightsaber that would a really cool twist
"The wand chooses the wizard, Mr. Potter."
Do what?
Yeah it's definitely sentient
Hell ya!
Good soldiers follow orders...
The darksaber was made by beskar making it indestructible in the most strongest and Powerful saver all-time history
NNNNNNOOOOOOO
Sup

I was the first person to like this video
Nobody cares.
I care. That is cool
7:01 is probably the dumbest thing in the prequels. Instead of faffing about, try to hit the other guy an make him defend. That's just painful to watch.
how do you bs this topic to almost 7 mins
Man, I do not understand why this nonsense reading voice is the standard for youtube. If this was told with an actual reading voice, it would have sounded so much more interesting.
