This is my first time getting a pet and yes it is a beagle he is driving me crazy he barks when I leave the house, room and any time I leave out he is destroying my house biting everything tearing up my towels I'm trying to learn how to deal with him but it's hard he's driving me crazy
Mine just started barking all thru the night because it hears animals like possums or raccoons outside around our house being that we live in the mountains.
Anyone trying to teach a beagle not to bark is an animal abusing piece of crap. Don’t get a dog if you don’t want one, and certainly don’t get a beagle if you can’t handle it.
Don't act like you know everything. I have a beagle puppy that loves to bark. I don't want to take that from her. But when she barks at night its a problem. She mostly barks after 9pm and its not ok. I live in an apartment and it drives my neighbors insane. Its not that i want her to stop barking, but i want to stop her from barking at night, or at least have her bark less. So don't assume its animal abuse. Its something that she needs to be taught
@@alexia-maria7367: There are some dog breeds that are well suited for an apartment, the beagle is not one of them. Getting my first beagle is what caused me to move out of my apartment. I hope you’re giving your dog several walks a day, a beagle requires it, could be a part of the late night barking issue.
@@scolee6408 I think there's a time for everything. My beagle rarely barks when I'm home. It only barks when i leave the house, which is mostly cause by my behavior I'm sure. I do help my dog drain energy and allow it to use the instincts of it's breed. I take it "hunting for squirrels and let it bark as much as it wants. @beaglebrains do you have more than one dog? I've heard that beagles need to live in a pack because they are too needy
@@jazzzfer: I had one beagle for a awhile but after getting the second one, I would never have less than two. Watching them naturally communicate over long distances while tracking down a scent is a reminder how much beagles are pack dogs. Having only one dog when it’s a beagle is like having one horse, it should be avoided.
My beagle doesn't have this issue but it does bark a lot when I leave the house. Separation anxiety. Do you have any advice for that?
I guess just lots of off leash time in a wooded area to wear him out, and definitely the dog park for socializing.
Crate helps
