    Interior was pretty awesome. It was hammered. The newer car interiors are so cheap that I don't think they would hold up as well as this one did. I think I would have said no to this job. Dont think I could have handled it. The Vonix product for plastics is very intriguing. Hmmm.
    The answer is no on dressing spare tire. Lol.
    I hope your customer comes back often for detailing. There is a point where some folks just can't do it anymore. And that's ok.
    Great series. Do more total details.

    Nicely done! Have you considered using a steamer for aiding in getting the deep grime out on interior cleaning? When you get new interior carpet and seat extractor, look at the Mytee pro line, their heated power extractors are the bomb. Personally I would want seats and console pulled and carpet pulled to power wash it and clean the chassis floor for there is defo stuff that seeps through carpet to chassis floor when that bad. Realizing that level of work is the purview of the big time disaster detailers though. Great work! Oh by the way, I would suggest blurring out customers license plate or covering or removing it. This is a crazy world and never can give enough security to a customer.

    Hi just a little tip if you buy a spare flat nozzle for your vac and tape a lenght of flexible tubing to it you can get into a lot tighter spaces such as under the grill on the front by the wipers to clean out all the litter that slips through the grill

From personal experience I'd advise you or the customer to fold back that section of carpet and make sure that you thoroughly dry and treat the padding for mildew. Also get the plugged drain fixed ASAP. Great looking results! 😎👍

    Spectacular detail Chelsea. You’ve literally made the interior brand new. I’m glad the customer was thrilled with the end result. Hopefully the customer can find a place to park where the car won’t be bombarded with environmental contaminants. Also, maintenance is so important. Perhaps you could offer him a once every 6 weeks maintenance detail with a spray and rinse protection. I recommend McKees 37 Hydro Blue.

    Great job with the interior. I had to fast forward a few bits since it was lengthy and thorough.
    I find that the dental picks are a bit too aggressive and can mark the plastics. I found Snap-Ons plastic picks to be much better to use and effective if not more useful.

    • @attention2detailswchelsea
      @attention2detailswchelsea  Год назад +2

      I rarely use steam because I found it could create issues with staining or too much moisture around sensitive areas and electronics so normally only use it on carpets

  • @AnalogueKid2112
    @AnalogueKid2112 Год назад +1

    Very nice result after so much hard work! Obviously you run a business and you do you, but I might suggest removing the front seats for major details like these. It's not terribly difficult, just need the right sized socket and to remove the wiring harness. Don't have the car running when they are removed, otherwise it will throw a code for the airbags.
    As far as plastics, getting major grime off could be easier with a steamer. With steam, the main thing is to keep the tool moving so you don't overheat an area. Just spray on an interior cleaner, steam, and wipe. Might save some time for you.

    The impossible carpet just need to be vibrated and vacuumed you can use a large throw polisher, just put the backing plate on the paper turn the polisher up and go. The carpet needs to be 100% dry before doing this.

    Glass always stunk until I used a applicator pad with onr then use a plush microfiber to dry it. I gave away all my glass towels and glass cleaner. I even have used just water and it worked better then all the glass cleaners I've tried, the onr is nice because it allows a little slip to the glass which makes drying alot easier. Just have to make sure your drying towel stays dry on large suvs I use two drying towels.

    A great vid! I don't have a compressor so these techniques are really good for me, but I've got a bone to pick with people that don't maintain their interiors like this, I mean cmon, I get that exterior is another thing (a need for a lot of chemicals and eq is often needed for a deep clean) but interior? It's the part where U sit the most, where U touch things, and to clean it(at least a little) u need BASIC stuff like a vacuum and a brush and 1 or 2 chemicals, and if your older or disabled and can't keep up, just go to a basic detailer once a while and pay for an interior detail...

  • @phenixwars1

Also Do The Ultra,Soft Detailing Brushes Leave Scratches On interior Surfaces like Radio Station Screens or Shifter Displays?..

    • @attention2detailswchelsea
      @attention2detailswchelsea  Год назад +3

      What kind of brush are you referring to when you say Stiff Detailing Brushes? And the ultrasoft Detailing Brushes I find do not scratch piano, trim pieces, or radio screens. Those are what I use for that area but even the chemical resistant ones are pretty soft on those surfaces more so than the natural brushes.

    Hey Chelsea, another great video! Been watching for a while but haven't left a comment, but your videos are great :)
    I am wondering, have you tried the tornador instead of brushes/drill brush for getting the dirt from the carpet/cracks/crevices? I have been doing this for a bit now for my customers and I haven't had the need to break out the drill brush. If you haven't tried it, the tornador has been the best thing I have gotten for dirty carpets! And for cleaning tight areas (around the shifter, vents, etc) I use Yvan Lacroix's trick of a rinseless dampened towel, blow gun on the towel on top of the area, then use the blow gun to dry the area. I do this on door panels too, but not on the center console ever. Saves tons of time and works extremely well for me!

    • @attention2detailswchelsea
      @attention2detailswchelsea  Год назад +2

      My problem is I don’t have an air compressor large enough to really support it and I don’t have the opportunity to put an outlet in my garage that would be able to support such a large air compressor so I’m limited, and I found ways to kind of work around those limitations.
      I had a smaller compressor and a vortex gun that I used in the past and found that my compressor was having to refill almost every 20 seconds and it was super annoying for my neighbors so like quickly stopped using that
