    • Heat Metal = Action
    • Wild Shape into Riding Horse = Bonus Action
    • Move 60 feet away while maintaining concentration
    • Continue to cause fire damage on subsequent turns as Bonus Action

      @@Rafael-mh6yz The damage continues and there is no way for them to break your concentration because you have left the area. That’s my point.

      Wht do You copy stupid ideas from google. While doing this you are useless for rest of party. Heat dmg is nothing compared to what other teammates can do while You run around…

    • @alanschaub147
      @alanschaub147 2 года назад +3

      @@miodas4559 It’s automatic damage. There is not need to make an attack roll, and the target gets no save. You are still contributing.
      You could load up a couple of your party members that are about to die and get them to safety to avoid a Total Party Kill.
      You could take the Dodge Action and give the enemy another target to reduce damage to other characters. You are a damage sponge, so even if you are hit it is not as big of a deal.
      Hell, you could even take the Help Action or deliver Goodberries.
      The options are almost endless.
      Who is stupid now? 😉

      @@alanschaub147 So basically on lvl 5 f.e. what You are turning into is 2d8 dmg /turn for your team and nothing more. While underground no other utility. If I were to choose between such a teammate and blind gnome ranger the choice is simple.

    I just wanted to say that I enjoy your content and aside from that, I don't really have anything else to say.

    Moon druid, aka the class with the best chance at surviving cr 28 mythic creatures without it being absurd.

    One powerful aspect is that you keep racial features during wild shape! With that in mind, I created a kobold druid.
    Some interesting racial choices:
    Kobold - Advantage on all attacks, daylight sensitivity negated with new body.
    Protector Aasimer - Flying bear!
    Bugbear - Long limbed? (Ask DM), powerful build and sneak attack!
    Firbolg - invisibility and powerful build.

      Half Orc: savage attacks on crits and a “last stand” ability to buy you time to Wild Shape again! 🍁

      How would a changeling work? You could wildshape into a beast, then change into a humanoid boy but keep your wildshape, being able to shift from both quickly, plus could you use spells?

    What would you get if you multiclass this with a totem barbarian?

      i know this is ultra late but hey, thats life.
      feels nice early on, later when you realize you doomed your chance to hit lvl 20 in druid it feels kinda meh
      if you never plan to hit 20 however i recc a 2 paladin 1 barb rest druid multi for lots of hp, ultility, and fair damage with smites if you're feeling it can also go the full 3 and get totem barb too

    If I pick an elf or half elf or any races that doesn't require rest, do I still need to rest to regain my abilities?

    • @deathbyd4
      @deathbyd4  3 года назад +1

      Yes, anything that recharges via a short or long rest still requires you to rest, even if your race would otherwise require no rest in order to survive.

    • @emeraldflask8865
      @emeraldflask8865 3 года назад +1

      Your trance is the equivalent of a rest, an elf's long rest is 4 hours compared to human or other races.
      Short rests are only an hour by 5e rules, so you can restore your maximum wild shapes per short or long rests.

    You are mistaken sir...u do not need to use you action to switch wildshape forms...u can wildshape into another beast while already wildshaped...however..to go back to ur normal humanoid form u must use an action.

    What is your thought on dream Druids

    • @deathbyd4
      @deathbyd4  4 года назад +1

      The Dream Druid focuses largely on utility and support with some of its features being very campaign dependent. I wouldn't say that it's bad, but you'll probably have trouble getting a whole lot of use out of the subclass in comparison to the other options out there.

    Quick thing I wanna say is that you can turn into a young white dragon if you have seen one as it is cr 18

      Dragons aren’t beasts, which means they aren’t viable wild shape options

    • @loadnlock357
      @loadnlock357 2 года назад

      Also cr 18 I'm pretty sure you can't do. I think the highest for moon druid is cr 8 and 10 for elementals. Which is why I'm not sure what the appeal of this class is sometimes.
