I think you should really consider doing the entire campaign with all the bits about cocoa as either one vid or a playlist as people enjoy good table top war stories as they evolve more organically than traditional ones, and a good heroes story of victory and sweeping a girl off her feet is a time less one

Personally, I’d use the “Golgari Agent” background from the “Guild Master’s Guide to Ravnica” to build a Necromancer. But, to enhance the use of “Grim Harvest”, I’d build a Dhampir with life energy as its hunger.

ranger is really good. think of the bare class as just the little bait light that angelfish have. if you have good stats, pick a suitable race and get the gloom stalker or horizon walker subclasses, you can and will break your dm. ranger combat is also either hilariously one sided or absolutely buttclenching. get gloom stalker and pimp out your wisdom and get the perception skill. NOTHING will escape you. youll be able to breeze past puzzles and challenges that took your dm days to make. you NEVER get surprised by anything. they make the perfect roleplay characters.

With my shield remake, AC would only increase by 3, but give them 5 temporary hit points. as long as these temporary hit points are there, and you retain concentration, it would still be up.

Why get Elemental Adept when you can instead get Metamagic Adept and get 2 more metamagic option and 2 sorcery points and use transmute spell to overcome resistance, also works for immunities

If I use this subclass, I’d use the Harengon race. They have the “Rabbit Hop, Hare-Trigger, and Lucky Footwork” traits. Plus, there’s also the “Leporine Senses” trait.

No. If you have Mage Armor and just say Dec 20, then you are rocking a 18 AC. Shield as written should give you 23 so you ARE nerfing the hell out of the spell. Secondly, more realistic, say you have Dex 14, then even then your AC would 15 and Shield would make it 20, but again your idea is just a big nerf. What people keep doing is making a mountain out of a mole hill. It costs a spell slot. It lasts for 1 rnd. Guys, its NOT an issue. AC does NOTHING about SAVE effects. This REALLY isnt a problem and banning it or nerfing is unnecessary. The PT of feats and multiclassing is to build on weaknesses and give more options and allow your character to be more powerful...stop with the watering down BS. sheesh.....

This actuality makes sense to me.

Imma just drop this here, as i suddenly remembered that you could always cast feeblemind on any undead to make there int and wis drop to 1 so you can control them with command undead with almost zero issue

Since paladins don't have access to cantrips, I chose the Magic Initiate: Warlock feat and took Eldritch Blast and Chill Touch as well as the first level spell Hellish Rebuke!! I took those cantrips so that I could give my few spell slots a break!!

BTW, is there any chance you could do a video for the fourth artificer subclass called the Armorer?

I may be a madman, but I actually want to try picking this subclass for a Curse of Strahd campaing. It seems that there will be a lot of undead enemies in this campaign, so I want to have a best use of undead sanctuary feature. Maybe combine it with protect from good and evil fur ultimate warlock tankiness

I am currently trying this subclass out. I am liking it so far, but have yet to experience combat. When my DM looked at the subclass ans saw the Flintlock, they were all "nope that's not your gun. You can replace that with a 1d8 revolver." However I plan to multiclass to make this character more of a bounty hunter. Since I can't current;y make ammo for my gun I took 2 out of my 9 levels and put them into Artificer for Repeating Shot. I want to multiclass into Rogue, mainly for the Expertise feats, taking Swashbuckler for my subclass. I also want to multiclass into Ranger but for the Gloom Stalker's 3rd level feat Umbral Sight, but their Deft Explorer first level feat is pretty awesome as well.

My character is a Blue Lightning Dragonborn. Who is the Paladin of Thor. So this will work great with him becoming a mystic Knight. Thanks.

! Tasha's Caustic Brew is potentially one of the strongest spells in the game, that can deal up to 640 damage with two level 7 Sorcerers! One casts Tasha's Caustic Brew, the other follows up with Banishment. If the target fails both saves they get banished to a demiplane and become incapacitated for the spells duration. During this time, the damage of Tasha's Caustic Brew will trigger every round. This on its own already deals an average of 200 damage, which is almost enough to kill an adult red dragon. If they then also use meta magic in order to double the duration of both spells the damage increases to an average of 400. The target can normally scrape/wash the acid of using an action, but because they are incapacitated, they can't take actions. This is why this spell is massively underrated!

Hoooooo boy. Command Undead. NOT a spell you want to give people who have an int score of 6 or lower IRL. My friend finished a campaign session today and his party ran into a lich and death knight who were attempting negotiations over their territories. The wizards of the party attempted to cast command undead on them both. One fell to a finger of death from the lich, the death knight stepped forward and demanded they kiss his boots for a 'swift' death. Wizard who was still alive tried to roll persuasion for an apology... and got a nat 1. the session having been on for 6 hours at that point and the DM flabbergasted by the wizards called to end the session.

Am I the only one who thinks the undying warlock's abilities feel backwards ? Like they all seem life related. If anything it should be related as a character with such aversion to decay and the undead that they made a pact with a being that helps them avoid becoming that. Maybe they cooperate with a naga, or a sentient tree, or something of that nature. Maybe they're even part plant and can photosynthesize, explaining why they don't need to eat or breathe

A few modifications to all the abilities like attaching them to proficiency bonus and short rests and you could make this class damn near the best tank of any Warlock.

I completely disagree, the players you describe are suboptinal, most of the optimal builds in the game use a lot of buffs/debuffs/AoE control spells. I considermyself a powergamer and I typically play things like: Peace cleric 1/Wizard 19 DSS 1/Peace Cleric 1/ Bard 18 DSS 1/ Life Cleric 1/Druid 18 Etc. Frequently casting bless + embolsening bond, or pass without trace or droping web, spike growth etc at choke points. Or I might stand in a choke point myself and dodge + sanctuary + shield spell to stop the enemies from reaching the party.

Aura of Vitality is nice, but Beacon of Hope can trigger off a lot more healing. Especially if you take at the minimum a two-level dip into Circle of Stars Druid for Chalace form.
