Thanks, you too Blue
Hi Simon! That brought back a lot of fixing windows memories. On our farm we had a three story barn & the south face was all windows which let light in for the chickens . Most were 9 pane & like those you did ,had the old wavy type glass. My dad was a pro at it & I learned from him how to do it. It was like your method. We fix them on rainy days & down time from field work.
Thanks Robert, must have been a cool way to grow up. Take care
Great little houses with a lot of history. Most likely people lived here under very harsch conditions🤠
I agree they are great. There are still many people that live here all be it have had some upgrades but we still live in very harsh conditions.
Im slowly getting caught on your videos my friend. I remember that cabin and the beautiful scenery. I wouldn't have an argument to spend my last days in that area.
Well done on the windows. Ive.tried my hand at glazing, still have a small tub here somewhere. Only problem is being a perfectionist at everything you do adds lots of unnecessary time. I know your exactly the same way but we will accept no less than perfect when putting our names on a project or job.
Things here are the same last time we spoke. Still up in the air about surgery on the ole back. Just taking things one day at a time.
I appreciate you sharing your projects and life my friend. Take care and God bless. 🙌 Be safe and we'll see you down the road.....
Hello Sarah 👋
Spending time on a project like that in the winter is no problem at all. I choose not to take on any work that would involve that during the summer which is why I can remove windows at the end of the year and tale them into the shop. Don't worry about being behind I know your busy and it is the season. Back surgery is life changing, I fear I will need it again before I am done though!. Thank you, take care my friend.
Great video Simon. Good to see you again. I'm doing better. Take care. Pats and pets for Kaspar. God Bless you and your Family.
Alan
Hello Alan, so pleased you are doing well and now maybe able to enjoy the summer season. Be well my friend and Thank you.
Always a pleasure to see old cabins restored to working and habitable condtition again👍 There's way too many old buildings left to rot... Anyhoo..how are you guys doing? Today we have had some pretty warm temps with the scale just tipping over 30°C in the shade(86-87°F I believe). Way to warm for me, but a trip out with the boat cooled me down🥵 All the best to you, looking forward to the next one🙂
We are all good thanks, my boat is not in yet but very soon. It is hot here. Not 30 but still hot for us frost backs right
Hi Simon and family.beautiful location and great job 😊
Thank you so much 😀
Howdy Simon- I remember the first time I tried to put the glazing putty in a window and I was just a bit frustrated. Learned quickly to get the putty pretty warm. Nobody around here does that anymore. I don’t know if there’s anybody who would know how to do it properly. Beautiful scenery. Take care and God bless
Just another old skill being lost Paul, almost every house/villa/cabin is glazed this way here. In fact I do not know of any property I work on or near that has anything different. Be well my friend, Thank you.
Burrr!!! Too cold there, Simon. I miss glazing windows. Nice job
