I'm glad it doesn't have finger grooves because I would want one. I have a couple of DD's rifles but appreciate them saving me money on the pistol. Gen 3 & 4 Glocks remain my favorite.
Thinking about getting a H9, but do you know if it's "partially cocked" like a Glock (double action where the trigger pulls the striker further back) or fully-cocked like a M&P (single action where the striker is already all the way back)?...🤔
Imho. People should include the firing pin in these takedown videos. As it’s a little more complex than the norm as it has a retaining pin and a spring inside of it.
I remember the Hudson at shotshow years ago it was a flop mainly because it was ahead of its time people weren't ready for a design like that sadly to say it's still a flop because people have a demand for micro size handguns now but in my opinion a very unique design unfortunately the gun is plaqued with today's fallen economy which comes down to price point yes it may draw in dd fans but a mainstream seller I don't see a future as of now its just to much of competition out here now at a more affordable price range thanks for the review brother
@@calvinjones1365I think you have a solid point. Especially with the price being what it is, but im reasonably certain it will generate enough interest for some solid sales.
@@calvinjones1365 I agree that they will likely never be anything other than a novelty. Daniel defense doesn’t care about Sig or Glock level sales. Thats not their approach to the market. They sell themselves as a high end US made moderate production volume firm. You get a high quality product but you are also paying for name recognition and QC. Their rifles are great but they don’t sell huge volumes of them and you definitely pay a premium for the name. This pistol fits them perfectly.
Yes sir it definitely will that's why they bought the rights to that design I'm sure this been on the table at dd for sum time now its definitely a market for it
....oh. So they went to a fully conventional recoil rod. That's like... 50% of the point of the gun. So now it's 'low bore axis. Ish.' Now, admittedly the rear anchor design was a huge problem on the Hudsons, but...
Seriously, is it that hard to just remove the magazine and pull back on the slide to clear it? It's not a safety risk at all if you follow the 4 gun safety rules religiously (as every responsible gun owner should).
@@thespectator5259 it's not about how difficult it is, it's about how designs for taking down a auto-loading pistol without needing a trigger pull have existed since the time of John Browning himself. And you don't need one for most modern striker-fire pistols either. Engineering as much potential for stupidity by end users out of your designs as possible is always better than the alternative.
@@dekuthedog You say. "Engineering as much potential for stupidity by end users out of your designs as possible is always better than the alternative." Alright. I can concede that logic is sound. Personally, it's nothing burger for me to have to do that, but your take is valid as well.
Speak for yourself, I think it looks sleek and very cyberpunk. I love old classic handguns, but it's about time we design something that looks like it belongs in the 2020s, not the 1990s.
I’m intrigued. Looks like a cross between a Styer & 1911.
Appreciate this. I just picked up the H9 from my LGS by chance claimed it. Only one had come in. Taking it shooting ASAP
Hmmm, it kinda looks like a 1911 and a G17 had a roll in the hay.

Excellent and to the point. Peace
So does that have a serialized frame component nestled inside the aluminum frame That's kind of what it looks like but I'm looking for confirmation
Yes, it’s nested just behind the slide release on the right side of the gun.

There's RUclips videos of Daniel Defense H9 keyholing.

Totally disagree with you. Daniel defense will sell crap tons of these.
My main point was it will never be a glock or sig it's just another expensive gun on a flooded market I myself like the firearm

What is trigger pull weight ????
Pretty constantly 3.5lbs
Never drop a slide on an empty chamber
Thanks for the engagement just wanted to make sure everyone knows this makes zero sense.
In 2024 there's no reason why a pistol should require a trigger pull for takedown.

Literally every striker fired gun has to pull the trigger for takedown.
@@UltimateEnd0 does your definition of "every" exclude HK and Sig?
Daniel Defense make great looking AR15 and rifles why make this ugly pistol?????

I think many people will like the look of it. But that’s very subjective anyway.
