Yes, we gave up backpacking a few years ago and miss winter tent trips iinto the backcountry. Lonnie and Connie have shown there is no need to give up our country outtings and will start working on that for a winter trip or two of "backcountry glamping" as we are now calling it.
I very much enjoyed seeing you and Connie enjoying the great Alaskan wilderness! It's always a pleasure and a joy to join you both on your outings .. the food looked delicious and that pot mitten was cool too! Thank you both for sharing!🤙🙏🤝

Hey Connie and Lonnie! Had to try out the bannock pizza and we now have a new favourite meal at the cabin! I've been making bannock for over 30 years, and it's one our favourite meal additions as well as used for sandwiches. I've always made it as a more sticky dough that I spoon and then press out with an oiled spoon, so this was a new method for me with making it drier and rolling it. Thanks so much for broadening my bannock making horizons!
You guys are both awesome and do a great job! Maybe one day soon I’ll get to live my dream and see Alaska for myself! Until then I rely on you guys for the great videos, it’s feels like I’m in Alaska while here at home!
That was an awesome trip. I love watching you 2 do what you do. My wife and i did the same thing years back, now she cannot after chemo from breast cancer been a few years since we cold camped. She just cannot do the cold anymore. God bless and keep camping.

The silicone potholder does look like a puppet. Multiple uses! I have flat ones that are very nonslip and wash in the sink. One of the best inventions. The ones with honeycomb pattern are squishy. You make the best camping food will remember the slow cooked frying pan pizza.
Great video guys, I really like your channel, life had something different for me but I had an opportunity to move to Alaska when I was twenty and I think a lot about how my life could have been enjoyed there in the back country. Thank you for sharing a piece of your happiness with us

Connie, first thing I have to comment on is that pizza. When I saw how cheesy and hardy it looked on top and the beautiful light brown crust on the bottom, I was a very a hungry fellow all of a sudden! Secondly, we all know that Lonnie is a man of many talents. In fact, I would say he is pretty much a human swiss army knife! After today's video, at last, I know why. Lonnie is, in fact, also the puppet master! LOL!
