I really enjoyed your Cabin Video. Where and how do you find the Radio Show, such as the Jimmy Stewart Radio show you featured on your video. I'm very interested in listening to such programs. Much appreciated. Best Wishes, Charlie
Wanted to add, that on top of the weight advantage, the maul also has a much thicker, "wedge" like blade side than an axe. I really love the videos!! Thanks to you both!! 😊
You deserve a break today...... Lonnie, you’re bushcraft tutorial’s are first rate. As I’ve mentioned, after 20 years with our counties SAR program, I still learn something from each video you post. A sincere thanks......
You are a very blessed man to have such a wonderful wife that enjoys the same passions. God is so good! I know because I have the same kind of wife. May the Lord continue to bless you and your family in Jesus name.
You’re not lying brother. Connie is definitely a keeper. It’s gotta be cold when that snow crunches like it’s doing when you walk on it. I haven’t seen snow in over 18 years. I grew up in Michigan, and now live in Australia with my Australian wifey. She’s a keeper too, my best everything. Couldn’t live without her in my life. Though she is a bit (lot) bossy. Is there any honey bee nests in the walls anywhere? Would a board with some nails sticking up dissuade the bear?
the games and radio now that's awesome. People forget those types of things brings us together vs. everyone off in their own space. You guys are great and thank you for allowing all of us to get a peek into life in the back country.
I was grabbing a drink but had headphones in when I heard Lonnie say "yuup she's a keeper" and it made me smile from ear to ear from that love coming off you two hit me like a happy 👊 😆
Thank you for showing your cabin. I really enjoyed the slow motion shot of the wood being split. I also like your couch. My Mom And Dad had a couch just like that when I was younger.
Really fantastic how you two are living in the wild. I live in the Netherlands where you'll never find a remote area. however I still manage to find places to go stealth camping and your lessons on survival have been very helpful. Thanks for sharing your experiences and stay safe.
Back in the 70's I'd listen to Harry Lime, The Thin Man, and Dragnet on Armed Forces Radio Iceland. As a 20-something kid, there was something strangely comforting listening to those ancient classics.
22:47 You could just post videos of things like this. You relaxing, Connie knitting and us feeling like we are there, sitting across from you guys enjoying good ol' wholesome times together. It's been rough not seeing you guys anymore. I still watch all your videos over and over though. We don't need any fancy videos, anything new would do at this point. I do hope you folks are doing well all the same.
Yes I miss them too. Their videos motivated to travel to the Usa from France. I was in Texas In August with my 3 kids. It was the best. Love this place. I listened to the six shooter in the tent while eating corndogs.😂 Their videos feel so relaxing and homey, while also teaching you something. Take care everyone.❤❤❤
I’ve watched this at least a dozen times. Really enjoy spending some time with you both at the cabin! Thank you for sharing it, and all of your experiences, with us! You guys are the best!
Now this is a Lady any man would be proud to have by his side. I think she could out work any if these 20 year old boys who would have trouble even getting out of bed at 1in the afternoon. By the way, I love the old audio radio programs I had on cassette tape , The Six shooter being one of them and William Conrad as Matt Dillon on Gun smoke. Thank you for this video.
Wow, that certainly looks remote with all that snow, thanks for sharing your trip with us. By the way Connie, I made your tamale pie from a previous video, it was delicious! We'd never had it before. You must share some more recipes with us👍👍
Had to laugh when I saw Connie pull out the "game board" We do exactly the same thing at our cabin! Great video, so glad you were able to get out there and enjoy it, and take us along!
Where in the world do you pick up the old radio shows! What a great relaxing experience. I gotta’ tell you, you are wearing out my index finger hitting the “hands up” symbol🙂
We find and download all of our radio dramas for free from a web site (archive dot org). you go to the website's audio collection and then to "Radio Show And Programs" Our favorites so far are below The SIxshooter Fort Larramie Gunsmoke Glad you enjoyed the video.
You guys are getting more and more sophisticated (in a good way!) in your videography and story-telling. It was a pleasure spending this time with you. Thanks!
Had the same fly problem at moose camp - finally figured out that the bear was going after the flies in behind the siding in the corners of camp. Great idea with the foil under the sticky tape - I’m going to borrow that idea for easy clean up.
Hey Connie, nice to hear you as Lonnie does a lot of the talking. I truly enjoy watching your videos, especially your cooking and Lonnie’s wise knowledge. Thanks for another great adventure at your remote cabin. Cheers, God Bless and take good care of each other. 👌💕😇🇨🇦 LilliStJohn
While you have all that nice dry wood to warm the cabin, it's the time that warms the heart, and it happens to spread far beyond that space. Thank you both, again.
Love your set up. And I'll have to check out those Jimmy Stewart radio shows. I remember a few story shows still on the air when I was a kid in the 70's the shadow and some detective stuff. And of course Christmas stuff. Thanks for sharing your trip.
I used to listen to radio classics when I drove OTR. Love everything with James Stewart. I really digging that couch. Looks like the 80s style my parents had back then.
Wonderful Time Spent With Ya's @ Your Cozy Cabin, Like How Everything's Buttoned Up For The Fare-Well, Thanks For Bring Me Along, Lonnie & Connie, Stay Safe & Healthy ! ATB T God Bless
Lonnie, you still split wood like a Boss. I've gotten used to using my 20ton gas-powered splitter in my old age. Really enjoyed the time at your cabin. May God Bless you and Connie in all your adventures.
At 9:40 I like on the slo-no shot, it shows the pine half splitting apart from the bottom up... really displays the transfer of energy that happens when splitting with a maul (wedge) versus an axe (blade).
Really enjoyed this one! Loved Connie's trip to the spring, Lonnie splitting firewood, a look t the snow machines, and most of all the time in the cabin. Love the clip if the radio drama, was starting to get into it! All love and blessings to you both!
Thanks for sharing, interesting land you have there in Alaska I've subbed and followed you for a while now. Thankyou from the other side of the globe in New Zealand.

Great video, should be shown to children in schools to teach them what is normal behavior between husband and wife and living on the Earth.
Great tip with splitting the backside of the rounds, I’ll start doing that from now on! Thanks my friend
You are a very blessed man to have such a wonderful wife that enjoys the same passions. God is so good! I know because I have the same kind of wife. May the Lord continue to bless you and your family in Jesus name.

Oh man, too long since I've had moose. Stew and HM bread. Dont you let that girl go! Keeper is an understatement! Friends for the evening.
Thank You for having me as a guest. Blessed Life. Enjoy!
Love watching Connie cook. And how chores are done.
A lesson in serenity and living without complicating things. Which most people won't do. It is cold out when the snow is squeaky.
the games and radio now that's awesome. People forget those types of things brings us together vs. everyone off in their own space. You guys are great and thank you for allowing all of us to get a peek into life in the back country.

Lonnie, you still split wood like a Boss. I've gotten used to using my 20ton gas-powered splitter in my old age. Really enjoyed the time at your cabin. May God Bless you and Connie in all your adventures.
Lonnie and Connie have this down to a science. Happy Living 101!
At 9:40 I like on the slo-no shot, it shows the pine half splitting apart from the bottom up... really displays the transfer of energy that happens when splitting with a maul (wedge) versus an axe (blade).
Wegdes are for splitting
Axes for chopping.
2 headed axe is a chopping axe.
Single dull bladed is for splitting
I was admiring the long shadows across the snow. Then all of a sudden I thought, “oh yeah. Their in Alaska. Its high noon.”
