    Hello my name is Lonnie and My wife is Connie.
    Here at Far North Bushcraft And Survival you will learn about many long forgotten tricks and tips of the old time woodsmen. Not only will you learn about bushcraft / woodcraft but you will learn many things that will help you to survive in less than ideal "survival" situations as well. Come along and sit with me by the campfire as I delve into these subjects in a way that you can easily learn to then do yourself.
    I will show you how to make shelters, gather food, use wild medicines as well as start fires with or without matches, lighters, ferro rods, etc

    Another outstanding video. My son walked by and saw you cooking with a headlamp and thought it was me.😁 Then the Louis Lamour western on the table put him over the top. Glad to see there are people out there who still appreciate a good western. They don't make them anymore. Food looked outstanding and even thou I don't need a small wood stove I like that one. Take care, Al

I see I could survive on your cooking too. Tks for the shoutout for Tks too on donations; not needed but definitely appreciated in todays times. I have gained a lot of insight from both of you guys instructions, etc. I even have checked out the old time radio westerns etc... you can only read sooo much and need to just rest your eyes and escape in your mind to these cool radio episodes. Great video, Lonnie. Great idea on the thrift store cooler & hot water bottle. I thought about doing something similar with Hot Hands in an styrofoam cooler I found to keep my water from freezing.
    The noodles 🍜 looked good, too. I kept my olive oil liquid by wrapping wire around the neck & hanging it far above my heat source. Like my gloves & socks.

      Disposable handwarmers depend on oxygen. In a sealed environment, the handwarmers will only burn as long as there is available oxygen. Once the oxygen is gone, the lighters quit producing heat. They work on a principle of oxidation, a breakdown of iron particles from "rusting" or oxidizing. Once the oxygen is consumed, oxidation stops.

    • @Far-North-Bushcraft-Survival
      @Far-North-Bushcraft-Survival  2 года назад

      The trail scenes were actually recorded on my way home. I inserted them near the beginning of the video so as to help the video have better flow and continuity of story line. A group of my neighbors went by my camp on their way to and from their firewood cutting area. There were 4 or 5 snowmachines in the bunch so yes there had been quite a bit of traffic on the trail when you seen it in the video. The neighbors had actually made the trip so as to pack the trail before hauling more firewood not knowing that I was already there and had broke trail.
