I think clamping the roof that was bowed upward , down to the 2x6 was a much better choice than trying to jack the 2x6 up. Clearly the plywood was warped upward.
    Great job improvising Lonnie 👍👍

Up here, what we call a "deadman" is a short length of log or branch that has a rope tied to the middle and is buried in snow, dirt or sand to use as an anchor for something such as a tent.

@@Far-North-Bushcraft-Survival Down here, snow is rare. No matter the use or what we call it, it sure does come in handy at times. . . If you have enough common sense to use it. You, Lonnie, I still say, saved the day that one!

I have always said the day I don't learn something new is the day I will die. I come here to learn about survival, but this video isn't about that. You have, however, saved my life today. Need to start a nail but have to hold onto something with one hand? Look at what Lonnie did here. He wrapped his hand over the top of the hammer and held the nail between his fingers with the head of the nail against the side of the hammer. Then he just sort of slapped the board with this arrangement. It was enough to start the nail. With that much snow, unless you have a reliable method like this, you are going to lose a lot of nails.
    Thanks Lonnie.
