- Heyo so recently just gave this small free game a try called "Psychopomp" and it was a blast and this is the song you get after completing the game its quite a bop so thought i upload it to youtube

If I ever get 39-40 degree fever, I'll force myself to play psychopomp to see the trippiest fever dreams my mind can conjure up
I did that, but whit berserk lore, i got pneumoniafor a weak and got stuck in bed, and watch that one 21h berserk lore video.
i did that with cultist simulator, spent the night hallucinating on my bathroom floor and using playing card to keep the demons from boiling me alive.

It reminds me of ES Dagerfall a bit. Especially the menu. I'd appreciate more levels but it's both indie and free lol. They should make a sequel. I'd prefer quality over quantity of levels tbh though.@@BunZen

her eyes are soooo deep in madness , i fall in love with this crazed art style
it reminds me alot of a game called danganronpa especially with the circles in the eyes, i wouldn't be surprised if the creator was inspired by it since that game can also have some pretty crazy girl characters

Перевод машинный конечно, могу подискутировать в первой строчке.
Зная как начинается игра, тут скорее применим перевод выражение come out of the blue не как "из ниоткуда", а как "вышел из под контроля". Как то, что вся правда, которая раскрывается в начале игры, попала в новости случайно, из-за того, что по каким-либо причинам власти перестали скрывать это.

If I understand correctly, this song is about either the core of the earth or a god.
Perhaps the girl at an early age heard some religious person on TV, where she was urged to come to god and become a part of their society. Then she is confronted with an opposing view, where she is told about the negative influence of faith and that god is not real. At a more conscious age, she forms her opinion that people destroyed god for money, power and crazy plans, they wanted everything and more.
I'm not really sure what the last line is about, where she says they put the god's remains in her closet. Maybe it's the paranoia. She doesn't feel safe even in her home, the hands of the government, the rich, the powerful are always reaching out to her for their own purposes, like hiding a corpse, maybe even cameras. Maybe by remnants of God, mean Psychopomp himself. She could have created it out of junk she found in her house, and by getting that kind of power, she could say she had gotten a piece of god.
It could also be just Girl talking about her schizophrenia:
From her being made aware about mental health crisis of modern society.
To her being diagnosed with it, being told about the treatment.
About how it is implanted into her head, that it was not real.
And even though, even if it was not a “real” thing they could cut up, they still charged her and everyone else for the treatment of it.
That the symptoms could be exacerbated by things like social media (brain in the phones), all of this making her confused about why it was so hard.
And in the end, they shoved the rest of her fractured mind under the rug, in her closet, since you cannot really cure a mental illness such as schizophrenia, only keep it at bay.

In all honesty, the game is designed in such a way that there are multiple answers to what it could be about.
The girl could be a god that is on the cusp of awakening to her true nature,
She might be really uncovering secrets that people really went out of their way to keep her specifically from knowing,
...Or, as one person I recall had suggested, she might just be suffering from Schizophrenia that has gone a long time without being treated.
Who can say, afterall... even if you get all the clues, the game makes sure to keep the conclusion out of your reach, even if you do everything the game has to offer.

However the song could be about the main characters origins because in the unnamed transient location it appears that the King of Dogs is communicating with someone who seems to either be an accomplice in reawakening the King of Mercury and the Queen of Venus who could be assumed to be be the child in the fun poem. (I’ll being copying this comment and pasting it as a standalone comment instead of a reply and will be building upon my theory in the replies of said comment)

also the definition of pschopomp is a guide for the souls of the living
My first update to this theory is that the main character whom i will be referring to as Venus from now on, nicknamed the machine that rests on her head Psychopomp, and it basically served as her guide through the game.
Another thing worth noting is that Venus has a noticeable disdain for doctors, saying “and once doctors receive their copay, they’ll lie to you and say that you’re fine, say that you’re not full of cancer” this, could possibly mean that she once had a particularly fatal disease or knew someone when she was a child who did.
More info is that 4 is a prominent number in the Psychopomp (The game), with there being four members of the family in the Fun poem, Venus has four wings after transforming and the Caldmen Four, and in China, four is considered to be unlucky since it sounds like the word for death.

I believe that this game is an allegory for schizophrenia and that this song represents how the protagonist sees the world. It describes exploitation on a global scale in a very abstract way (probably the only way she can). I believe that this woman was exploited so badly it caused her to have this psychotic episode. This exploitation most likely took place at her job. Throughout the game, we often see characters who are dedicated to their work despite all ethics (nurses and factory workers) which could indicate how she feels about her co-workers. There is a huge focus on recycling and keeping the world going despite all odds. Even when the head of the factory begged to be murdered, the workers refused not out of moral reasons, but because they needed him to run the factory
There is also a level that takes place in the hospital and a tip that "sanity pills" harm your health. She was most likely placed in a psych ward against her will and hated it (killing nurses is straight up neccessary for story progression)
I wouldn't consider it an allegory of shizophrenia so much as example, though interpreting the story as purely someone being crazy is the least interesting interpretation

Well, there's one that is about to come in this year hopefully named "Ena dream bbq." Of the series "ena" it didn't come out yet but it looks cool, i even have a character as my pfp lol
Disillusion ST, same controls, VERY VERY similar vibes. The game doesn't really HAVE an ending just yet, but it has SO SO MUCH content. It's like LSD Dream Emulator but obviously different. HIGHLY recommend
Not exactly the same but if You like RPGs, You should look into Disco Elysium - it has a funky art style and wacky characters. (if You can even call them "Wacky")
