One of my favorite things to do while high is watch videos of bugs because I'm able to better appreciate what cool creatures they are when stoned. @@jonn40853 There is actually light down there, it’s just in a different spectrum than what we land lubbers see! Our eyes are simply not adapted to see in that low of light levels as only some really long wave-form light gets that deep. That’s why a lot of deep sea fish have HUGE eyes. It’s similar to how some nocturnal creatures on land adapt to low light levels by trying to capture as much light as possible :)

as a marine scientist, its always fun exploring with friends and just geeking out and watching the fascinating animals. I mostly do shallow water ecosystems but I really wish to be in a deep sea expidition one day
The creature did not think the sub was a threat. It that were the case it would have been in that form as soon as it sensed the submarine coming from miles away. It gracefully and peacefully was showing off its beauty. Most humans tend to forgot the life force behind all matter on Earth is love not fear. This is why scientist are no different than you and me, all they have done is filled their mind with man made words and definitions.

I love how calm everything is. It's on the ocean floor and you can't tell. It's absolutely beautiful, and the scientists and their commentary adds soo much to it lol
Especially when you consider how much of their time on shift is spent looking at rocks and sand and doing mundane scientist things. So it's completely understandable when they get excited over seeing especially rare and/or beautiful sea life.
That's actually methane gas leaking out! You also see vents of liquid sulfur, H2S , they are hydrocarbons. This people should be explaining the viewers, that this is how crude oil and natural gasses are produced. These hydro vents are all around the world, especially where tectonic plates meet. The fuels that we consume don't come from fossils, including coal, they are all hydrocarbons.
I am overwhelmed by the beauty and complexity of life in the oceans. I’m equally amazed at these scientists and the work they do. So jealous and privileged to be able to witness this footage. Outstanding!
At 18:18 the columns remind me of Giants Causeway in Ireland. I imagine they started out on the bottom of the Atlantic so so many years ago and as they continued to grow eventually they made it above the surface! It's so cool to see these!!! (Thank You for sharing these amazing adventures!!!)
When the guy said he was downstream, I said to my self.. These people are smart.. In dealing with wildlife one has to watch for wind direction so that the wind doesnt carry your smell and give you away. I would imagine the sediment and micro organisms that the current carries in and out of the coral ecosystem could be tampered with unless one maintains certain positioning in regards to the current. These people are smart and caring.

The creature did not think the sub was a threat. It that were the case it would have been in that form as soon as it sensed the submarine coming from miles away. It gracefully and peacefully was showing off its beauty. Most humans tend to forgot the life force behind all matter on Earth is love not fear. This is why scientist are no different than you and me, all they have done is filled their mind with man made words and definitions.

20:17 had me awe struck! So graceful yet demanding respect for it's space. I would have never thought it would puff out that much, I mean it looked really enormous. It's really hard to gage how large some of these underwater creatures are when your watching them in the vastness of the ocean. There is really nothing to compare side by side so you can tell from this end of watching. I would really love to see a video that goes into more detail on the size of each of these creatures of the deep. Something that would give us a bit of an idea just how large some of these beauties are

I think it's Stauroteuthis syrtensis (one of my favorite octopuses) at 12:46! They're bioluminescent and just so so cool. I love these guys.

Especially when you consider how much of their time on shift is spent looking at rocks and sand and doing mundane scientist things. So it's completely understandable when they get excited over seeing especially rare and/or beautiful sea life.

That's actually methane gas leaking out! You also see vents of liquid sulfur, H2S , they are hydrocarbons. This people should be explaining the viewers, that this is how crude oil and natural gasses are produced. These hydro vents are all around the world, especially where tectonic plates meet. The fuels that we consume don't come from fossils, including coal, they are all hydrocarbons.

When the guy said he was downstream, I said to my self.. These people are smart.. In dealing with wildlife one has to watch for wind direction so that the wind doesnt carry your smell and give you away. I would imagine the sediment and micro organisms that the current carries in and out of the coral ecosystem could be tampered with unless one maintains certain positioning in regards to the current. These people are smart and caring.
This is the exact reason I want to become a marine biologist, the slogan for being a submarine diver should be “explore an alien planet right here on Earth!”
