Hi there...Zoku is actually written by the Japanese Drumming Group "Kodo". It is also not "traditional" it was a modern day piece written using lots of contemporary patterns and influences.
If you search youtuvbe "Taiko" and "Kodo", "Zoku" you will see what I mean. You will find Kodo's (Japanese Taiko Group) piece "Zoku" which is a piece title and not a style type. Both ensembles represent a style of taiko called "Kumi Daiko" which is group drumming. I was merely looking for some type of acknowledgement that the patterns, phrases and melody are almost identical.

I think they meant his arrangement....not the piece you're talking about. They're probably two different things, because I remember him writing this from scratch to replicate traditional Taiko drumming and that happens to be the name he chose. Just like Bach wrote many Gigues as did other composers.
