I am so glad WotC decided that nothing needed to be banned at the last BaR announcement. Thankfully Play Boosters will definitely fix Modern!!!
Don't be discouraged. In the next straight-to-Modern set, WotC will definitely print a red and/or black card that should totally help in fighting Scam decks, just like how Bowmasters was praised by WotC for dealing with Ragavan.

Guys, scam is only 21% of the modern metagame, 3 times more than the next most popular archetype, that's TOTALLY AND COMPLETELY NORMAL AND HEALTHY.

The decks difference between having scam or not is so big. But if you have it , its almost a win every time. But that boros deck was kinda cool

Molten Collapse is literally just Dreadbore+ it won't be responsible for getting any deck banned.
Idk, expressive iteration got banned in legacy not to recently. Sometimes enablers are what make the payoffs too good(although collapse would never be the card they ban)
Yeah, I was trying to figure out why people are so on Collapse, but I guess the fact that it's easy to get both effects thanks to fetchlands and how relevant destroying 1 mana enablers is for Modern that it's pushing people over the edge.
@@ForeverLaxxyeah, a lot of it is still speculation as the card just came out, but the theory behind it being very strong for scam/rakdos value piles against certain matchups seems solid.

Molten Collapse looks legit. I could see it being a staple in most decks that play BR. The number of times in this video I took out an Amulet or Sigardas Aid or Map in this video alone make me believe in it. There are so many great targets for the 2nd mode - Scales, Ozolith, food/clue/treasure etc tokens, Needle, Moxen, anything from Boggles lol. That added to Dreadbore as a card that is always a 2 for 1 or 1 for 1 but taking out a piece they need is a really good card.
We'll have to wait and see! It's pretty mixed right now, with some Rakdos scam decks still using terminate and others using Molten Collapse!
I quit modern after LOTR and have never been happier, legacy and premodern are where it's at

@@MagicAids sometimes you just gotta let go man. Every time you go back to Modern you going with MH2 + some other cards cause that`s what it currently needs to compete. It`s not your fault the format looks like a decaying carcass.
I sometimes go back to the Flame of Keld 8Whack and the Pelt Collector vids just to see something that actually looks like the game we all love.
If you want to focus your Brain on something else for a bit we got a Abzan-toolbox-combo withe explore-vampire for pioneer as well as a potencially good Mazes End/Gates-deck as well for Spelunking + Scapeshift is pretty strong + you can compensate the lands you sacrificed to Scapeshift with Echoing Deeps to get more lands at once out of the deck.

In the meantime, legacy is a fun format, as is vintage. Been playing both on cockatrice and I’m loving it.
It was already a huge red flag when they decided to make no changes to pioneer (karn needed to go) too. That should have been a sign that no changes to modern would be made.
Anybody got a list for that Boros legends deck? It looked based.

Think stalker would be better replaced by the new Zoyowa Lava-Tongue as it makes fetches into more value and works to pitch to both fury and grief.

People keep blaming Fury as the main source of contention with scam decks. But ignore the fact that Grief literally rips apart people's hands on turns zero, one, two.... And when you add thoughtseize as well.
Been tinkering a bit with Ojer and its rather silly. Mayhaps you can find a good home for it?
Plan: Cast 3 rituals for 6 mana - > Ojer -> Grapeshoot for x5 = 20 Damage
Yeah I say someone on twitch earlier today brewing it a bit. It requires a pretty significantly lower storm count to get to lethal. The build they were working with was starting with past in flames and then game two siding it out for Ojer.
I wonder if you can make it into an "polymorph deck" to make it more consistent considering you only need one of the guy@@Red-Tower

Modern has managed to go full yugioh where the only viable deck is just "jam all the most expensive cards that have come out recently+lands", guess that's still better than Legacy.
Legacy is dope, what are you talking about? Bosh and Roll and thrabenu constantly show off how diverse and wild the format is.
Also that boros legends deck he lost to is pretty cheaper. Heck 2 of the decks didn't seem to play the elementals.

Change the rules so that the player going second doesnt draw their hand until after player 1 has had their first turn. No more turn 0 discard

Fury is such a bad card design. A zero mana 2 for 2+
Because Grief is somehow less of a problemr? Fury's been around for quite a while and it hasn't had any problems until scam became a thing in combination with Grief. Wiping out people's hands on turns one and two is the real problem.
