I would say the same... if it wasn't literally just ramping and drawing, as simic do. The discard synergy stuff is fun, but... there are so many other commanders that seem more interesting.

Been trying to make this deck with a buddy and it’s a tough build without going brain freeze. We tend not to do infinities and go the value route for games. Found the deck needs to act like a black deck in its recursion. Next attempt will be flashbacks and escaping
I want to play lots of draw, burn and ramp with flubs. Also Madness cards fit into this deck amazingly. Also self mill self draw stuff plus madness. That’s how I see this commander working

Only thing I'm concerned about is playing Tatyova or Aesi when you have no cards in hand and play a land; basically Flubs and Tatyova both trigger drawing you two cards total and then the next time you play a card, Flubs forces you to discard that last card leading you to end up having no cards in hand and nothing to play.
True! You could stack it in a way that the card draw triggers before the Flubs trigger drawing you only 1. Having 2 cards in hand is indeed the worst situation with Flubs. Having multiple land triggers helps so you don't end up with an empty hand. Also playing with madness and from your graveyard helps

Love this kind of commander. similar cards to Inti (the best of them all really) and the kamigawa construct are conspiracy theorist and veronica from the new fallout set. Also love eruth (i have an eruth deck) to just set aside your hand completely to go full-storm mode
Building him with mass land recursion effects, seismic assault, tectonic reformation, land's edge, ayula's thingy, flipside of birgi, and flame jab to pitch lands, draw more lands to pitch, ayula's and ashaya let me make forest bears who trigger flubs too and can go infinite with library of leng, then win off food chain combo into labman or damage alone off seismic assault / land's edge. Eruth, Uba Mask, inti, containment construct, badgersaur, conspiracy theorist,. It's gonna be a wacky fun powerhouse deck.
i never really though of storming with forggy, of course its a thought for like a win con because i feel youd inevitably have a high storm count. i was more in the realm of plot, flashback ect. a lot of those graveyard or exile casting cards. i want to build the frog with plot as my main goal becasue it would be really fun to just 0 hand keep drawing and top decking either more ramp or plot cards so that you can eventually build up a large enough plotted ball of value to dump and potentially cast a storm card with it like squirrels or grape.
I just won him as a promo at my last commander tournament, I want to build him so much since of how unique his effect is, I just need to decide a theme
Awesome! There is a lot to choose from 😁. Maybe look at the cards you have laying around? Making a deck with the cards I already have, for me that is the best feeling.
@@TipsyGoat I don't really have useful cards laying around but I can try, I just don't know if I should do a landfall deck, since I love the mechanic. Or lean more into the random aspect of the effect and go for a storm/flashback build
Flying under the radar is only viable game one and only if you don’t have a reputation that precedes you. I never even consider it. I did Flubs as landfall/draw/discard/land destruction triggered tokens. My plan for resistance was sheer redundancy.
So in order to build a deck that doesn't piss off my pod I put 0 mana cards for speed. Artifact hate in the form of spells that stick to the board. Land ramp. And hydras. Other x cost spells too.

I've been going the escape, flashback, adventure, foretell route! It's awesome being able to navigate through casting not from hand its super cool
Oh! And there was that other temur adventure commander printed in the newer Eldrain set! Now I gotta see about a build like that!

In paper magic, library of leng gives flubs a very distinctive edge. Edh is great.

Plot is a nice idea! Do keep in mind the political factor of showing your hand. You can become more of a threat 🤣

My deck I've been building is like 50% Land 50% Impulse, which are like my 2 favorite things in commander
