Fan Damn Tasitc! Thanks guys. I just found out these are available again. I just bought a Jupiter X a week ago....its going back tomorrow morning! Mark Bensette Aux Bois 🇨🇦.
Great job on the video and hats off to Arturia for bringing this to market, really incorporating some cool ideas, and making it sound great! The morphing reminds me of the Yahama AN1x, but the Polybrute is amazingly all analog. Hard to believe I could get THREE of these for less than a 16-voice Moog One. The biggest shortcoming I can currently see is only having 6 voices, so here's hoping they produce a module to extend the voice count.
Sounds a lot like my ob-x at the time (stereo pan and how the resonance accentuates),but with the difference that the modern oscillators always have this raspy driven tone , but what a great synth this is , puts a moog one to shame considering price
Something about this “Jack Learns” format feels more compelling than either a review or a tutorial. I think Jack needs to be given homework too though because he has claimed ignorance one some of these topics for some years now! Anyway it’s a refreshing alternative to just watching experts.
Arturia's first synth was an analog modeling synth. They developed tons of software, then started releasing more ambitious synthesizers. So, when are they going to release a modular of their own? We all know the guy who invented the Brute is huge in the modular community.
Awesome !! Close to pull the trigger on the this one 😜 .... but I still navigating between this and OB6 (different beasts, obviously need both, but have budget for one polysynth only...)
My A6 Andromeda was robbed from me many years ago and since I still didn't get a new poly synth. Lurking a lot on this one but wondering if polyphony is enough
Nice vid guys, picked one of these up last week and it’s a monster! Side question : @Alex - what make / type of synth / drum machine rack is the one the Polybrute is on? Cheers!
Anyone else notice the big screen to the right went blank on its on at around the 10:56 mark? Mine does that when I am playing, but not touching anything on the panel for about 15-20 minutes. When I move something on the panel, it comes back on.
They can.. They just want to get and 4k$$$ from us.. Roland Zen Core pro anyone???????? $299.000 I mean who uses these over priced so called analog synth?? I never see them on tour..never??
@@JJDPROMEDIAPRODUCTION 2.4k, not 4k. And that's not an unreasonable price for a polyphonic analog synth. and of course you have never seen them on tour - it only started shipping earlier this year and we're still waiting for tours to start again. and I do like my polybrute; actually touching and tweaking physical knobs and sliders can't be compared to virtual instruments. Especially with the morphee, the ribbon and aftertouch.
Just got my PB, now watching again and trying to follow along. So much! So good!
Okay so I'm still relatively new to the synth world but man, when he started to dial up that stereo spread I was hooked.
I see Polybrute and Andertons, I click. The sounds are so satisfying ☺️ to hear.
Just received my Polybrute from Andertons. It blows me away.
Oh Maaaan, that’s awesome to hear! I was blown away by it too, may it serve you well Sir X
I love the table's tab lines. It fives character!
Top work lads. This was fun and informative. Could we see a Part Deux in the future? There's just so much to cover.
Thanks for the lovely comment Jonti, really appreciate it. Great shout on a Part Two !! I’ll start the begging process with Alex immediately 😍

The ivy is taking over at the Mylar studio.
Lockdown has been LONG 🌳
Recently acquiring a Polybrute as my first ever serious synth (I'm in love!), this video was actually very helpful. Cheers!
Fantastic video! This has just become a must-have synth. Thanks.

Always love Alex from Mylar melodies! Great as usual Jack!
Thank you mate. Thanks so much for sticking around, very much appreciated X
Amazing tutorial! Thank you Andertons and Mylar! It's EPIC!

Mariana Trench Deep!!!
Galaxy Wide!!!
Universe of Possibilities!!!
Just got mine!! It’s amazing!!!

For god sake Jack, you got me - just ordered.... this thing is a beauty...
Excellent synth + excellent teacher + excellent pupil = excellent^3 video.
I have an OB6 but I would recommend this for many reasons pertaining to depth of functionality, and flexibility.
It's a sci-fi composers dream machine 😁😁
great video :)
My A6 Andromeda was robbed from me many years ago and since I still didn't get a new poly synth.
Lurking a lot on this one but wondering if polyphony is enough
A valid concern. FWIW, many classic polysynths top out at six voices: Juno 6/60/106, Polysix, Jupiter 6, and even the Memorymoog.
Getting hold of a Polybrute in the UK has been a disaster...had one on order since October and have had over ten delays in the expected arrival date
I had no interest in this synth . I wanted a rev 2 . Now I think this is fantastic.
This is one of the best synths released in the last 30 years, just not many people have realised it yet.
7:15 ok yeah i'm in

Same question! Please enlighten us! It seems to be the only solution to getting one of these big boys haha.
@@g3nj1 Just bought a Jaspers 5d stand and it's doing the job nicely!
andertons should do some stuff on the Prophet 6 there aren’t much on youtube compared to others polys

damn 7:15 its like the clouds cleared...WOW
My Plasmonic sounds also amazing :-).2500 euro-100euro.
Wish they would come out with new firmware for the mono version of this
Waiting for my Polybrute.
How is it? Still enjoying it?
@@g3nj1 It is good when connected to Hydrasynth, and Genos to give it a fuller sound.
I wish Alex was my synth teacher 😉
If only Arturia could do a software version of this and add it to their collection😁

That guy lost me when he corrected Mylar Melodies pronunciation of "Timbral" and proceeded to say "Tombral" for the rest of this session.
Anyone know where I can sell a kidney ? It's still pretty functional . I figure that's the only way I'll ever afford this .
I could use one! I've only one left after everything in my studio 🙌
@@mylarmelodies looks that way ! hey this'll cut out the middle man , I could just straight trade for the Polybrute
I got a demo noir for 1.2k usd. Finances on Paypal 0 interest for 6 months. Can pay now but feels like free money.
need to find an excuse to tell the mrs ...... compiling a list of justifications
🤣👍
First time seeing mylarmelodies' face o.O
first reaction: doesn't fit his voice ^^
This is a bad review and a waste of time
too brigth to my ears
