thegossipswan009 I think it's a great example of what Black Mirror does best: Have something really intelligent to say, while completely messing with your mind ("Black Museum" is another one this year that does so). While I don't think they'll ever top "White bear", they have a lot more home runs than misses.
One of the greatest episodes of any show I’ve ever seen. His performance as Captain Daly was so riveting. I remember having the urge the pee, but refused to pause the greatness I was watching lol. Absolutely outstanding performance, BRILLIANT
I see why this video has no dislikes. Let's keep it that way! If you can't appreciate this masterpiece of a show then please don't watch the trailer and don't vent your frustration on the video by leaving a dislike.
Kathiravan Ganesh yea I think at least two or three of the episodes this past season had a happy ending. Usually it's one or less. Only one I can remember prior is the one with the two lady lovers. They're losing their touch lol
Some people are criticizing the show saying the increased morality (happy endings) is evidence of it being Americanized. The show is more contemporary and relevant now. That may have come at the cost of staying immoral and obscure. I'm ok with it.
I honestly don't think the happy endings in any way compromise the integrity of the story. In the case of this episode, the point was already made. They were stuck in a simulated hell and they were fully ready to die. It was just pure luck that they escaped and he didn't. Story could have benefitted from being a bit longer to say deal with the human counterpart of Nannette with more scope, but it was okay as is in my opinion. Same goes for Black Museum: The episode in no way invalidates all the sad endings of the previous three stories contained in the story. It just gave a bit of closure to the convict's story while trying to sugarcoat it with the punishment of this dude who did get the consent of every one of his subjects. As for Hang the DJ, I don't think that story or ending needs validating since it was keeping with an overall theme and tone. I think most of these "happy endings" were fanservice endings that didn't rewrite everything just for the sake of a happy ending. They were more like extra sugar to confuse you into believing everything's happy but no it's not. The AIs are still stuck in the game away from the bodies they remember, and nothing can undo all those horrible things that happened in those three stories in Black Museum. Hang the DJ would have arguably had a more happy ending if they stuck with the idea that those were people living in a society that polices destiny.
The clash of squeaky clean, G-rated American entertainment before "we lost our innocence" (an expression much used in America despite slavery, genocide, a depression and two world wars) and a kind of James T. Kirk as psychopathic torturer is fantastic.
I'm a HIMYM fan, i'm just getting thrilled with black mirror, I felt so happy seeing Cristin Milioti (Tracey) in this episode, now I will see all the episodes
That's the best fucking episode of the whole show. It's incredibly funny, it's deep, it's believable, it's dynamic and very nicely written and very nicely played by the whole cast.
Love Jesse Plemons and thought he was awesome in this episode. My son’s middle name is Landry, largely because I loved his character in Friday night lights.
The next cameo in the episode is by Aaron Paul, best known for his role as Jesse from Breaking Bad. You don't actually see Paul: you just hear his voice right at the end of the episode, when Milioti's Nanette and her crew have arrived in the patched version of the Infinity game.
When I was looking at the episode, it made me think of “The Talented Mr. Ripley” and I couldn’t figure out why. And it was because Matt Damon and Philip Seymour Hoffman both played in the film and this guy looks like a love child between them.
Literally the greatest opener episode the series has seen. The season was amazing. I enjoyed it.
Season 4 truly was amazing.
Such a thrilling episode.

Lmao Meth Damon
Jordyn Bowe the fuck? You talkin' bout the main actor in this episode?
It's his fan nickname from breaking bad. The resemblance is pretty strong.
Adam Lempicki the guy who plays captain Daly played a character in the show breaking bad and he and Matt Damon look extremely similar
Adam Lempicki its a breaking bad reference
LMAOOOOO
This episode is absolute genius. Talk about thinking outside the box - so so incredibly impressive
This episode was so enjoyable! Great acting, lots of funny parts, and still great twists!

Dude they could make a whole season or multiple seasons out of the concept of that episode. So good
Am I the only one who thought they were watching a different thing at the start?
Unbound Boundarie no you are not, my friend
I double checked the title to make sure I hadn't clicked on something else.
You cannot trust him. I know him from Breaking Bad.
Hector Salamanca I it's Jesse you can't trust
Sam no
Shut up. BITCHes!!
Lmao and his real name is Jesse. Go figure.
Same thought!!!

Charlie Brooker said that not every episode of his is going to have a dark ending.
This episode did have a dark ending...Daly died
