The episode is such a good move for her career. I went from having never heard of her, to now I remember her name because Salma Hayek keeps saying it at the end of the episode, and they even give a brief recap of her career as well. So now instead of people saying "hey, that's Joan from that one episode of Black Mirror", people will go "hey, that's Annie Murphy!"
She was in Schitt's Creek.

Black Mirror keeps you guessing. I initially thought the burgers meant Joan’s plan was to gain weight so Salma would gain weight but the plan was something else entirely.

I love Annie, she's so immensely talented. It's funny that her two most well known roles post "Schitt's Creek" are meta dramedies, "Kevin can F Himself" and "Black Mirror."
I would say her acting is there with Schitts Creak's Dan Levy. She just 'has it'.

So fictional Annie Murphy is so angry she's depicted pooping on the floor of a church she tracks down the source of the scene and together destroys the production.Real-life Annie Murphy is more than happy to do it and and quite stoked that they spent time getting the noises right.

I adore the kind of actor she is 😭😭 the way that she read the scene and I was expecting her to be like "uhh I didn't really know if I wanted to do it but I decided to because I liked the rest of the script" but instead she immediately thought "I wanna do this more than anything in fact this is my WHEELHOUSE" no hesitation nothing like

I knew her from being a die-hard Schitt’s Creek fan(I even have merch in the form of socks). However, I was getting a STRONG Margot Robbie Harley Quinn vibe here. The Melanie Martinez dye job suits her so well.

The church scene I literally couldn’t breathe I was laughing so hard. Also, it was my first episode of Black Mirror. Definitely be more.

Annie should take solace in how funny “Merry Christmas one and all!” is. She delivers it beautifully! 💩
Some episides of Black mirror are kind of out there, but this one really resonated because really ARE losing more and more of our privacy and accepting it. Notice that all other meta actors in this quickly got over being in Joan is Awful. They were even justifying why they did what they did. I'm 60 and I can tell you than the 20 year old me would be SHOCKED by how privacy had been compromised in 2023.

That episode was FANTASTIC!! I was horrified and mesmerized at the same time while laughing my head off. This actress had to play someone squating in a church defecating in cheerleader's uniform! It was only later I realised she was in Schitt's creek. Oh, the irony! What a legend!!

I saw that episode of Black Mirror, and I had no idea who that actress was, but I liked her, her face, she can really act, good action, and I had to discover who she is... And I discovered "Schitt's Creek", a series that was made years ago, and I saw that she is beautiful.
This may sound strange, but everyone has a different taste, I liked how she looks overall, nice face, and nice body, but I especially liked her legs, I like women who have nice calves... English is not my first language, but I think that is what those muscles are called.
Really? People can't figure it out themselves? That's funnier than the ep, which was damn funny. When she accidentally dropped her vape pen on her head it was perfect.
