Nice radio in that Oldsmobile 98 @ 9:09. Those make a nice upgrade for lotsa cars. Also were found in Cutlass Supreme convertible. The Olds chime module is also worth taking for ‘90’s Chevy C/K trucks

You talking about the door chime when the key is in the switch ? I most definitely wanna grab that cause those have a really cool sound to them only unlike a chevy cause they sound like a dead line very annoying.
My celebrity has a 90 something chevy Camaro door chime and what a way better sound lol

There is also a nice chime module in earlier Astro vans. Those are black and way up above on the left side of the driver’s side. On that Oldsmobile, it is above the radio. GM was trying to hide them as some drivers hated the seatbelt unbuckled warning sounds. I’ve snagged about 10 to play with for future projects.

That 7 pin Camaro chime module is a good unit. Similar to APV vans and Cutlass Supreme. GM color coded them and used a 4 digit date of manufacture code as well. Lotsa old Chevy trucks need one.

@@ryanfoster9863 yeah its a Tan Brown color box that I put in my Celebrity . I will agree so many older GM vehicles needs a better door chime real bad.
Now some old C10s and like my S10 has a cool one its not so bad as the regular chevy deadline sound . It does a buzz like sound idk how to describe it but they have smaller chime boxes than other vehicles but 86-93 S10s and others got the bigger boxes like my celebrity . I'll definitely check into the astro Van's I never knew that and always thought they was the same deadline sound being chevy

My first car was a 92 Cavalier, 2 door, 3.1 V6 RS, teal color. Ended up using it as a stunt car in one of our short films. Frame rot, doors didn't line up, body shot to hell, it should have just been crushed haha. But it ran and shifted great still. American junkyards are always such an adventure. Up here in Canada its super rare to see anything from the 90s or older...alot of just newer shit.

That's crazy . I hear that a lot because Alot of vehicles do not rest out down here to where they Rot out to pieces like most other places do . Which is good but also sad cause of the things I have seen and I'm talking mint condition cars just scraped because they didn't want it anymore or family didn't want it after it was say Inherited to them and once they enter the yard that's it
I tryed to buy one but they wanted $1500 with no keys and no title and already had some damage to it so I'm yeah that's just nuts . Told me they rather have it there cause they make more money but yet honestly I'm close to only ones that mess and gets parts from them
