    Love all the small features and lil pops of modernness they built into the house. As firefighter spend lots of time at the house, it is important they are proud of it and want to be there.

    I’ve watched a couple of these videos, very well done. You do a good job explaining stuff to the non firefighter audience. These videos should be watched by the city council and other purse string people because what is on the horizon for improvements in the firehouse world needs to have funding and education. Only one question, why does this city have a station number as high as 93 when you mentioned that there’s only 4 stations in that city.

    • @HeroesNextDoor
      @HeroesNextDoor  2 года назад

      That means a lot to us! That is exactly what we are trying to do. We are trying to reach people outside of the service through these videos. Great question! It is the third sub station so station 1 is station 91 and station 2 is 92. They just put a 9 in front of the station number.

    Very strange that they pay house dues. Having food in the firehouse is a requirement of the job, the fact that they live there on shift. Strange that that isn't budgeted for given how otherwise nice the house is.
    54 full time firefighters, that $540 a month, that doesn't seem like enough to buy the food anyway (even if you included the part time firefighters) I'd imagine they'd be spending close to $500 per week on food.

    • @danielcosby4540
      @danielcosby4540 2 года назад +1

      We pay for house staples and like they said, so each station and shift would be providing their own dues to spend money on. Then meals are $5 per meal so if you do lunch and dinner that’s 10 per shift for each person at that fire house. Yeah it’s around $500 per week that each station spends on all meals but that’s the workers paying for what they want
