Your are an excellent trainer? I am a retired teacher and I know what good teaching is. I am also an avid Table Tennis player, and I learned some things from several of your videos. Thank you.

      Hi Charles :)
Your comment has made speechless. I have been typing a reply back and forth for a while now and this what you read is the best I can come up with.
I never had received any type of words from an educator in the first place and the fact you do on this particular video is even more mind blowing.
This might be too much information especially for a YT comment, but I must say it so you can know the real full impact of what you have done. You commented on a video that I have done purely because another YT person told me I should. They suggested it would be a cool niche (back in early 2019) to do. I always wanted to try it, but at that moment of time, that particular time period of the shoot was when I was suffering with mental health problems.
It took me like 20 re-takes of all videos I posted wearing this light blue shirt. It’s actually crazy how all of this came along.
Also, only during Covid-19, Sep 28th 2020 is when I started uploading these videos too. Over a year later because I could not have the strength to do so!!
Today, I’m all better and stronger. It was a long journey, but Covid-19 had some benefits and during the extra free time I was finally able to breath and restart (if that makes sense)
I’m very happy to hear from you and I hope you come to me with all the questions you want about the sport.
P.s these videos of light blue shirt are from a LONG 40-60min full Table Tennis masterclass that is set on private. Let me know if you want to see the full 3-4h footage of 6 videos and I’ll link you :)

When talking about backspin service. I think what you mean is the part of the racket that PRODUCES the most backspin and NOT RECEIVES the most backspin? Am I right in understanding your vlog instructions?

Yes :) parts of the rubber creates different style of backspin that people normally think.
Hitting the very edge of the rubber will create “backspin” but due to the lack of rubber it’s being brushed off it doesn’t have as much speed to the serve itself.
Unlike saying brushing the ball from one side of the rubber and rolling to the other part before it comes off the contact of the rubber. That will create more “backspin” spin and have more speed to the ball itself.
It’s good to understand both aspects as someone could get used to your serve so having different variations throws off the opponent. It might look the same to the naked eye and they will think that, but their response results will be totally different to each other.

Idk how you got to these conclusions. All professional players use the 'most away part from the table' spot to hit fake cuts and flat serves using the same downward motion for the backspin. You got them completely mixed up I'm afraid. Ma Long uses it all the time. He makes a heavy cut and the opponent thinks it's heavy backspin, lifts the ball so it doesn't go into the net and the ball pops up and Ma Long comes with his forehand over the table and smashes the ball. Does that literally every game.

I agree now :) As a coach I have to always be open to learning and after this video I gained more experience regarding to the bases on how to create quality shot!
However, the tips from this video needs to be adjusted as it has its own tactical benefits!

I know :) I have evolved myself as a coach from thinking otherwise now. This video is almost 4 years old so maybe I should re-shot it for more modern take.
