The T5 Project // Day 6 & 7 // Insulation!

Day 6 & 7 of The T5 Project! Conquering the first layer of insulation...
Not going to lie, this is a pretty labour intensive part of the build. It's not particularly difficult but it just takes time. We were probably way over the top in how carefully we used the insulation, managing to use the entire roll with the tiniest amount of waste. We cut all sorts of random shapes to fit gaps where in reality you can probably just slap it down a bit less specifically. Even though it'll never be seen, we were really neat with everything and I feel happy in the knowledge we did the best job we could.
Battening the floor was easy enough. Decided to glue the battens down rather than screwing into the metal of the van. That should give a nice base for the ply floor to sit on.
Still another layer of insulation to go but that won't be done properly until the ply panels are ready to be fitted. We're a few steps away from that at the moment.

Sorry for the slow reply mate, but in case it helps anyone else, I just screwed the ply lining into the battens I secured to the van floor.

Thank you! I got all my stuff from Kiravans. Its basically the same as the stuff from Dodo (but slightly cheaper if I remember correctly). I also used the recycled bottle insulation from BnQ for an extra layer snd to fill any gaps.
