    I have done the rest of the van but left the cab area till last so this new product has turned up at just at the right time. I have followed your tutorials for my own build and the results have been fantastic. Thanks

    Any reason you haven’t bothered to treat the rust in the floor 😮

    Great video as ever, for me its just down to sound deadening as the number 1 issue in vans

  • @vwtransportersandmotorcycl3729

    Always look forward to these vids on a Sunday, meticulously done 👌

    Has this worked to improve the reduction in engine and road sound in the cab, did you take a Decibel test before and after or has anyone else? I'm keen to see how much quieter the cabin is when driving before and after doing this?

    Curious as to why you’ve chosen the hex mats over the Dodo Mat deadn roll? Thanks

    Mmmmm I quite like to hear my engine. My sister is a prime example, when I ask her how long has this noise been noticed for, she's like "I don't know, I always have my music on" 🤣

      I hear you, however in this case, I do carry out preventative maintenance, and also we plan on driving this thousands of miles and would like it as comfortable as possible!

    What temperature can it withstand? I have a E350 that i would like to insulate at the dog house right around the engine.

    awesome video, do you think its possible to take up one side and sound deaden it, then do the other? Also is there plans for a video on how to do the scuttle area?

    • @CombeValleyCampers
      @CombeValleyCampers  Год назад

      Hi Paul, it is possible, but would be way easier to remove everything and do it in one hit. We have no plans to remove dash or do scuttle area as yet, but it’s possible!

    Im about to start my cab floor and just curious why you have not done the steps?

    • @russ1046
      @russ1046 Год назад +1

      I was going to ask the same question. I've done my van with the exception of the cab floor and the side step. I might leave it to the summer though 😁

    • @CombeValleyCampers
      @CombeValleyCampers  Год назад

      We haven’t deadened the cab steps in this instance, as we will be fitting a heater in the drivers side for example so will need access and it will be done later. Please do deaden the steps if you wish :)

    Afternoon Leigh. Love the CVC channel and the work you do.
    I’m going to be following the 2KT5 series closely as I’ve had a 58 Reg, LWB, T5 Shuttle since 2012 and it’s in need of some long overdue TLC and a conversion.
    Quick question. Why doesn’t the floor of the cab get the 8mm van liner pro layer for insulation over the top of the 2mm sound deadening?
    Would it be beneficial to have the 8mm insulation layer on the floor as well as the roof of the cab?

    • @CombeValleyCampers
      @CombeValleyCampers  Год назад +1

      Thanks for watching the channel and for the kind words. We generally don’t put 8mm on the cab floor as it will interfere with the rubber cab mat and more importantly the driving controls. I hope this helps

    No rust clean and protection? it would not last 10 years with holes in.

    Sound deadening and rust causing. They arent making these VWs anymore. The focus should be on not rusting the things out.

    What about the extra weight you're adding to the vehicle? And I thought that stuff was to stop thin panels vibrating?

    • @CombeValleyCampers
      @CombeValleyCampers  Год назад

      There is added weight, but the payoff for a quieter, more comfortable van is worth it. It does stop panel vibration too yes
