To all those that says ‘this isn’t Foreigner’, one thing is for sure, you are Not Foreigner but these people are.. And that guy with a hat is Thom Gimbel who’s been with the band since ‘95.. Folks, this is a lineup brought up, introduced and accompanied by the founder himself, Mike Jones. So this is Foreigner… I love Lou and the past members. I still listen and watch Foreigner’s original videos to see them.. But as a fan, I love the new lineup as much the previous. Putting passion aside, it’s a brilliant move for Mick, business wise.. if you know what I mean… 😉
Yeah, Mick's cashing in & these guys are all fantastic musician's, not only together, but individually but in the end, none of these guys had anything to do with writing the songs that they now perform. So in that respect, this is not Foreigner, but an excellent reproduction. I enjoy reliving the songs through them, but, they are not THEM!
I stated this before I watched the entire concert, my bad. Had no idea Mick was coming out later in the show.

One of the most awesome bands, listened to them from the a young age with my older sister and fiance at the time. Still think they are awesome.

It could be the hall acoustics, but those Les Paul guitars sound fantastic, both guitars doubling up on the verse and Bruce Watson (far right stage), makes his Les Paul snarl with distinction through the Double Vision lead riff. So good. 2:43

Saw them with Whitesnake and Jason Bohnom's Zep Experience. Ooooh lots of blonde women in cheetah print skirts and stuff. Hot!! At Irvine 5 Points. Hard to find but worth it. Big show!

Thanks Charlene! I don’t personally knkw anyone who doesn’t absolutely love Lou Gramm’s vocals on the original recordings. It has to be said that if anyone is going to stand in his place then Kelly Hansen has to be the man. His stage presence is formidable and he is every bit a rock star. I loved the gig and the line up totally works for me on many levels. It was pure joy from beginning to end. Please share the link and let’s get more people to appreciate the band. The songs are timeless. Fantastic writers. Awesome band. X

Because none of the original members are immortal and can defy aging… I’ve been a Foreigner fan eversince I was a kid.. I played their songs as I was learning the drums… I still do even now.. I understand that most of us tend to cling to the idea of a band being the ‘members’.. But inevitably, people will age.. Get old.. deteriorate to the point wherein they can no longer do certain things they can do in the past. What you see here is the New generation Foreigner… Built, Introduced and accompanied by the original Foreigner himself, Mick Jones. So this is not just a tribute band but a legacy.. This is Foreigner whether you like it or not..
That's Tom Gimbel who retired recently after being in the band since the mid-90's. His sax solos were epic.
