After Drugs and a Brain tumor almost killed Lou Gramm Foreigner took a long hiatus. But not content to drift away and retire Mick put together a new band. All things considered, I think they sound great. Remember seeing them on "soundstage" when the new line-up first came out and thought "No it's not the original Foreigner, but it sounds good and it's fun!" Kudos to Mick and the boys! Thanks for this upload!

Kelly Hansen is awesome! There are peanut gallery critics who compare him to Lou Gramm citing he is inferior to Lou. Watch this performance and see how Kelly puts his all out there! He's great!

FOREIGNER was a band to reckon with the moment there 1st album came out in 1976-77 with a long list of hits like "STARIDER" "A LONG WAY FROM HOME" "COLD AS ICE" "HEAD KNOCKER" and many more. That became huge #1 hits sending the band into Mega Super Stardom and beyond overnight. Created by Mick Jones who helped produce such band's as "VAN HALEN" as well as "BILLY JOEL" who Mick Managed and Co Wrote a couple hit songs with. It's hard to believe that no Major Production Co. like Atlantic Records, Sony, none of them wanted anything to do with the band! Until the Production Manager for A and M. Records had listen to a Demo track sent to them and it was by pure luck that only because the Music Producer decided to pick up the demo tape laying for days in his inbox that someone had written the wrong Bands name on the cover of there tape.. After the Record Producer decided to listen to the tape he realized it wasn't the music of the band he went to see and listen just the nigh before! Which he learned later that morning was not the other band and the tape he just listed to only for maybe 2 minutes was the band "FOREIGNER" he immediately contacted Mick Jones and Signed the band to Multi Million Dollar Contract the rest is history.

From time to time can see video "Foreigner" performs without Mick...obviously he is getting old but we love his guitar. Wish the guys all the best!

People don’t seem to mind that other bands carry on with session musicians for live performances but with Foreigner it seems slightly frowned upon.
