I was 19 years old when I started listening to them that was a blast I saw them with my ex girlfriend before she died ,, that concert is my memory of her,,,RIP SANDY
With all due respect and a sincere condolence for your loss I wanted to say technically anyone that see Floyd with a loved one friend or family seen them before their inevitable departure from this mortal realm not say that to be rude or to troll or to be morbid only presenting the facts that may not be overt
I'm 60yrs old today and I had to give up weed boose and all of the other drugs that were in fashion most of my life, body broken, PTSD, but I can still find comfort in the music I grew up to be a man with!😢😢😢
It was 1990 in Tallinn and I was 10 years old. Estonia was still under the dark occupation of CCCP. Bread, sugar and sausage was really rare thing in stores. There was shortage of everything. I was a kid and looking back I just dont understand how people survived... In the middle of this devastation I dont know how or from where but my great father managed to bring home a VHS recorder. And with the recorder there was this original VHS tape of Pink Floyds "Delicate Sound Of Thunder". It was evening, my father connected the VHS recorder to our TV started the tape and... That was it, I was taken! All these lazers... And the reflection of the futuristic sci-fi stage on some super cool dudes sunglasses... I was mesmerized! Lighting up a cigarette on a lazer beam... Holy wooow!!! And all the melodies, sounds and music that came with these stunning visuals... For me this is Pink Floyd! Gilmour in the middle of lazer arrays conjuring the cosmic guitar riffs in the beginning of "One Of These Days" was one of the highlights and instant hit for the 10 year old version of me. And the flying pig in the air - I had no clue what was going on but I could tell that what I saw was just pure magic))) Pink Floyds history, early days, all the albums, art, creative diversity, success and tensions all that came later for me. I consider myself blessed for being able to love "A Momentary Lapse Of Reason" and "The Division Bell" for what they are - both true masterpieces! For me "A Momentary Lapse Of Reason" is one of Pink Floyds best albums. I did not know who was Roger Waters or Syd Barrett, for the most part I could not understand the words, so it was just the music that spoke and touched along with the visuals. Over all grandeour of the stage and the effects heavy video editing style also played huge part but it all would be nothing without the music. And the music just hit my soul - left a mark of a lifetime. I can say that "Delicate Sound Of Thunder" really is just and simply about the music! There is no one on the stage from the band to stand out, to steal the show, they are all equal music makers there and I just love it! I was as thrilled of Scott Pages mullet and saxophone playing style as of cool looking John Carin behind the synths and Guy Pratts bass playing style - for me they where part of Pink Floyd just as the three older dudes: Gilmore, Mason and Wright! I was 10, I was hearing and watching Pink Floyd for the first time in my life. I did not know anything of the bands history or the dramas of the earlier days. I was "tabula rasa", they where "carte blanche", it was all about the music. And on top of it all of corse I even fell a bit in love with the pale girl on the right... Rachel Fury))) So this first original version of Pink Floyds "Delicate Sound Of Thunder" is the real thing for me. This is where Pink Floyd started for me. Thank you for this upload! Nowdays I enjoy the new re-edited and re-mastered version of this concert. But this original version holds a special place for me - Thank You! This Pink Floyds "Delicate Sound Of Thunder" concert show is a MASTERPIECE.

My first time listening to Pink Floyd I was 11yrs young smoking hash out of a bong riding in the back of my cousin's Volkswagen bug doing donuts in a empty Kmart parking lot on a snowy day in Chicago 1973. I know what you are thinking,, I was too young to be listening to Floyd 🎉😂
Right around that time in Chicago also when I first heard Dark Side of The Moon. I was 15, hanging around with the older crowd drinking beer smoking weed...,,🎸💯👍
Seen them 2 times Texas animal tour mid 80s then in Michigan the wall early/late 90s best concert ever except for Bowie now these 2 are my all time fav since the 70s
It's splendid music and sometimes it becomes beautiful because so soulful and intelligent and more... It needs breath to listen to Pink Floyd and it's a good thing.
they brought this show to Dallas Fort Worth and played at the Texas Stadium home of the Dallas cowboys, I sat on the 20th row.. it was a night to remember..

Man, not only it was music awesome but they put on a hell of a show. I'm going to miss that but at least I was there. That's good to say, The wonderful part is that the rest of the band picked up right where they left off after Syd, and STILL put people into breach, with a smile I know this is a bit long but I listened a lot of the early stuff bike, Emily plays two of my faves, and yeah don't forget Arnold
Maravilloso, el mejor grupo musical de todos los tiempos, gracias Gilmore, ojalá puedas venir a Chile nuevamente antes de dejar de hacer música. Ya disfruté la oportunidad de estar en un recital de Roger Waters por acá.

64 years old I've been listening to Pink Floyd and the whole world to I.
They were better off without Waters and his ego.
