The song so is well composed, in all fronts, that if you replace too many phrases in the solo, for example, you will end up impoverishing it, irredeemably. At least Satch kept kirk's phrases! Humility pays! No "I'm the teacher" bs. Kirk is simple, but knows what sounds right! By the way, I know each and every album of both of these guys, besides the whole of Tallica, of course.

That's something I didn't expect to happen, but I welcome it wholeheartedly, and it exceeded my expectations when you combine Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and Metallica into one. I love these two musicians so much, and I love Metallica, so yeah, all in all, this performance makes me happy. :DDD
I bet this makes Kirk and James' day when they see it. Especially how Satch actually finishes with the original solo lines. Its a nice nod to Kirk this. It's his riff and arguably his most iconic solo. Some interesting flavours in the jam section as well .
Me gusta mas esta que la original es mejor esta version virtuosa progresiva y hard rockera ya que la original es mas oscura, trashera y pesada pero les quedo bien tocar un tema mas pesado de lo habitual para estos virtuosos de la guitarra.
I like how Joe stayed faithful to Kirk's iconic solo. He could have easily shredded up on it and made it more technical but he realized it was perfect the way it was written. Cool how he and Steve then added an improv jam with some exotic shreddy licks after the main part of the song and original solo section was over.
