Hello sir, I am a big fan of your work. I am from India and I am planning to make a no budget feature film using Samsung S23. I want to achieve a 16mm look with all those grains which guves me a vintage feel. It is a black and white (4:3 aspect ratio) slow burn thriller. want it to feel it like a movie not like a video shot in a smartphone. I would like to know which budget friendly lens is suitable to achieve this look. Because the phone's lens have focal lengths of 13, 23 and 69mm. And if I add an 16mm lens to it ,will I get the same or a different focal length? That's kind of confusing to me. I want to know the field of view a 16mm eill cover while shooting. Plz explain me the process to me. Are you in insta?
Hi, kudos to your passion, all the best and can't wait to watch it when it's done. instead of giving you "camera" advice, I want you to focus more on the story, set design, wardrobe, sound, and lighting. Camera is just a small part of it, even if you shoot the movie Titanic with a phone, it will still look great. Why? because they really work on the set design and wardrobe. Camera is not the thing that make or break the film. Any will do. So don't worry to much about technicality, you'll learn on the way.
I think I will do my best... I dont know about the things I mentioned above. So I am looking for that particular look I explained (16mm b&w) which helps me to tell the story too. So plz help me with add on lens and stuff. I have no other people for guidance. George Ammerlaan shared your yt telling me that ypu are the one who knows about phone's mechanism and all.
@@harohar134 Short answer is yes, you can achieve the look without any accessories. What you have to do now is to do trial and error with your phone. Go out and shoot, see what works and don't.
I tried with native lens of phone and its not what I wanted. Its prime camera 's focal is 23mm. So if I buy a 8mm lens can I get 16mm as output. My budget is very tight actually. Sorry for asking too mny questions
@@harohar134 I'm not sure what the crop factor will look like on Samsung so I can't answer your question. If you know you are quite tight on budget, then don't buy because I don't think the lens will help you that much. I'd say spend on your light equipment. Those kind of thriller and especially in BW need a lot of contrast in terms of exposure
Gorgeous frames! Love these vibes 😍
Dude you're amazing.
Nice! Thanks for sharing your Spotify playlist, btw, lots of amazing tracks on there, much appreciated!

Not me thinking for a sec this was Newcastle here in the UK 😭

Love your edit 👍
Great ZVE1 shots 👏 I love my small ZVE1 although I have a bigger FX6 😂
@@schoeferfilm it’s from my workplace too not mine hahaha. Although I’m so tempted to get one
This is amazing! Would this lens work for the Sony ZVE-10 aswell?
