    Wow, never thought the Rosberg side of things would be allowed on the U-tubes! Thanks VM

    Had it been Lewis’ engine fail in 2014 in Abu Dhabi, in stead of Nico’s, Nico would have won in 2014. At the end, you need to be right there to have a chance to win. And Nico certainly was as good as Hamilton in those 2 years

    For me personally, nico rosberg is fellipe massa with a championship. Massa lost 2007 in a championship capable car, and 2008 in the same fashion but more extreme. I think that if massa didnt get a head injury in 2009, he's legacy would have matched that of rosberg, due to the fact that in my opinion, in 2010 he would have been in title contention the whole season, and if the pendulum swung differently he could have won, and nico, in the same fashion, lost the world championship twice in a row, and then won 2016 with streches that for me, can be considerd one of the best non hamilton and vettel seasons since 2006.

      Except people universally loved massa

      @Hello_there_obi in the same way that everyone loved rubens barichello, a number 2 who knows his "place" and understands that he is a second priority. Massa was loved because it was a disgrace how ferrari treated him during races, for example, Australia 2010 or Germany 2010. It's the same with a driver like rubens, Fisichella, or Mark webber.

    Rosberg held his own against PRIME Hamilton. As a motorsports fan, I wish Rosberg stuck around for at least one more season - just dial it back down to 9/10. He may have lost, but at least we as fans wouldn't have had 5yrs of Bottas that Rosberg's absence ushered in.

    I agree, I think that they were probably evenly matched. If i remember correctly he won around 6 in a row at the beginning of the season before unfortunate spain crash. This season was eerily similar to 2014 but with rosberg winning more and lewis making just the little small mistakes. Also if he didn't retire I doubt it would cause the same disregard, and we would get to see another silver war instead of bottas

    Sorry but you can't bring up Spain blame Hamilton and say "it's Nicki Lauda's opinion not mine" with out clarifying that Lauda retracted that after watching the replay several times and concluding that Rosberg was primarily to blame.
    Or to recap it was Rosberg that selected the wrong mode at the start which caused the derate that made him slow thus enabling Hamilton to go for the overtake. It was Rosberg who in the words of Martin Brundle "was a day late and a dollar short" when trying todefend to close off the route through. It was Rosberg who wasn't leaving a cars width when Hamilton was alongside thus forcing him onto the grass. After Hamilton lost it on the grass and hit the wall he was a passenger, collecting Rosberg was either unfortunate or a Bonus depending on perspective.
    But I get it you dislike Hamilton and want to blow smoke up Rosberg's ass.
    Unfortunately I have better things to do that tear you a new one on every point you've misunderstood!

    Well done. I was hoping that you might have presented some of the financial considerations of Nico's retirement since he conveniently got in the way of the ordained one's ascent to eight. Or, that you might have mentioned that Toto swapped out their garage crews for the season which also helped Nico immensely as he was as well supported as Lewis had been. Or that Lewis hijacked several of Nico's key crewmen and mechanics when he arrived at MB and Nico kindly agreed to share, only to his own hurt. I always derive great pleasure reminding all of the Lewis cult that Nico beat Lewis and it is amazing how they cannot contain themselves from responding, most often in vitriolic fashion. They are a cult. Maybe you'll do one on Lewis being half white? ;-)

      OK, yeah I'm a LH fan & you're right he did beat the GOAT in 2016 & well done him for that given the 15yrs before Rosberg never could get the better of LH & let's be honest Rosberg had the luck go his way more than LH 2016. Can I ask you a Q ? Why did Rosberg retire & not try to retain his title ? We know his bowel load hit his boxer shorts due to LH breaking him mentally but other than that ?

      @@andrewblackie7170 Money... From Liberty Media Group. They needed the ethnic twist LH brings to the table to better promote F1 in the US. So once Nico proved Lewis beatable, he had to go. To Lewis" credit, he used to eschew the racial card publicly which I think may have been Bernie directed as it has been reported that Bernie had no problem reminding him he is half white. I think it is fair to say that the woke racial crud that has infested F1 over the last decade emanated from LMG. I do not discredit Lewis as a great driver but like Seb and Alain, he has enjoyed inordinate favor from the powers to be during his reign.

    Nico actually beat Lewis in 2014 in qualifying. How many teammates have ever done that?

    • @jasongates6894
      @jasongates6894 Месяц назад

      Literally every teammate Lewis has had has beaten him in qualifying. In fact, each one of Lewis' teammates has beaten him in qualifying in a race in their first year as Lewis' teammate.

      @@jasongates6894 you must not have much going upstairs. beat as in 12-7. Nico also had 11 pole positions to Lewis' 6.
