Hi. I am unable to find the IQA Course information form on the link you have provided. It goes to the home page. Can you provide the correct link direct to the IQA Course form please. Thank you.
Hi Chioma I have a question please take some time out to answer. I have done a bachelor of arts in mass communication and journalism and also i have completed 1 year of law now I want to drop law and study MSW in Australia. Also, I have 1 year of unpaid part-time work in Ngo. Please let me know If I am eligible or if I need to do a diploma first.
Hey, Thanks for this video. It is such a detail one. I really have one doubt. I have PGDM in Development studies degree and have 6 years of experience in community development, livelihood, education related work . Am I eligible for this skill assessment?? Please please tell me.
Hi Chioma! Your videos are always super helpful. Recently, the Immigration Department of Australia has released a list of occupations and programs which provide an extended post study work visa. Social work was not in this list, so so you think this update means that it might soon become more difficult to get PR as a social worker in Australia? What's your take and insight, would be very helpful as I plan to go for a master of social work in australia at Griffith University
Good work Ma'am, thanks for the wonderful work, please can someone who completed social work Msc in UK and have been practising for 2 years now, can I work in Australia as social worker?
Thanks so much for this info ma, pls I've been processing my transcript (catisfied) copy but I'm not sure if I'll need to take it to a lawyer/Court for it to be certified or Its okay with the school stamps?.
hello Chioma! Great information on the channel relating to social work, Really appreciate it. I have completed my social work degree however my country donot have social work registration system. i am working in the NGO. how would my profile be assessed by AASW?
Thanks Chioma for all the amazing information, as you always advised we must to do our own research but all the information you gave to us is very helpful 🙏 thanks for using part of your time to help
Hello, I have a question about criterion 4. If I have completed 500 hours of field education but not 980 hours, then I must have one year of full-time work experience correct? Now my question is, how many hours per week is full time 35 hours a week? And how much professional experience do I have to prove if I work 20-25 hours a week part-time, also a year or longer? I would be very gratful about an answer, because we have already asked so many people and no one has an answer.
Yes, full time is from 35 to 40 hours per week in my understanding. About how how to work out the full time equivalent on a part-time contract, my very uneducated guess will be to work out the hourly equivalent of full time work for the number of years you have to demonstrate work experience and factor that into your part-time hours (hope it makes sense). Again I don't work for AASW so I may be wrong.
@@lifewithchiomaHi, Chioma, I also have the problem of the shortfall of placement hours. What can I do if I want to skip the wordy statement. I could follow the instruction of the guideline by providing evidence relating to my relevant qualification and its field education experience? i.e. to provide field work details, academic transcript and IQA form including details regarding fieldwork?
Thank you so much what if your undergraduate degree is in Sociology and Anthropology but have work experience as a Psychosocial worker in your home country, are you still eligible?
Hi Chioma. I have honours in Psychology with the University of South Africa and l want to apply to study Masters in Social Work. Do you think universities will accept my application? For EILTS l got 6.5 overall. Please help me to map the way foward.
Well done chioma, pls can ielts waiver also cause visa denied? I mean some universities will say if an applicants are from English speaking countries applicants just to proof that previous program ( bachelor's degree) was taught in English can this also lead to visa denied?
Good question. I would honestly recommend that regardless of the school's waivers, please do an IELTS test for your visa application. Same with proof of funds for student visas

In parentheses, I'm concerned if the demand for social workers is reducing in australia, and if it may even get dropped from the MLTSOL
I understand that the list is not final yet and more occupations will be addedd soon

Yes, as long as you mentioned her as your spouse in your visa, you can apply for her as your dependent soon as you commence your course.
