also it's really good because you can actually put it in before your period starts just to make sure you won't get any surprises

I absolutely loved the idea of a menstrual cup but was so scared to try it. After your post on insta I tried mine out this week and it’s life changing. I don’t even feel like I’m on my period. Definitely nothing to be afraid of and more women should try them! Loved the video xx

I will definitely be giving this ago next cycle! Mine are always really heavy and painful but I haven't been able to find tampons that feel comfortable for me. I do want to try this but am a bit nervous about how to put it where its meant to be so maybe I should do a trial run! Thanks for this Lucie, I hadn't heard of them before your video! P xx

I recently bought a moon cup after watching Mrs Meldrum's video. I am yet to actually use it as I have got myself really nervous about it....probably daft, I know! Watching your video has helped me to feel more confident at giving it a go x

I've been using mooncup but had to switch to lily cup as the mooncup didn't suck in properly and it was leaking on my heavy days. Lily cup work perfect for me now. I just guess that you need to find the perfect cup that works for you x

I've been meaning to try this for a while due to trying to cut down on my waste, and save some money. You've convinced me, I'm off to Boots 😁 xx

I had seen your Lily cup horror story and commented on it. I'm so happy that you didn't give up on cups and that you found your Goldilocks 👍🏻 appreciate your patience and persistence. Most people just give up after trying one brand not realising that every brand is different.

You made me really curious about this, I also have long periods and after giving birth twice at least I'm not feeling the pain I was feeling before. I feel the same way about towels/pads and I'm also concerned about the chemicals in tampons and feel awkward using them. I can't wait to try it and will let you know my opinion after. Thanks for the video!

I use this and I wish I had started using it years ago ,no more tampons and towels it's much better ,especially through the night you don't have to worry about leaking ☺

Definitely love using a menstrual cup...I need to look into more brands as the one I have isn’t the best fit for me, though it works. I’ll be looking into and testing other brands once this baby is born and my period returns 😊

I use a diva cup and LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! I’ve been using it for a few years now and will never switch back to pads or tampons. I switched for most of the same reasons as you! That is crazy because I ALWAYS tell everyone that I forget that I’m on my period as well! The first few days I have to change it about 4-5 times a day because I fill it up on my heavy days but after that just twice in 24 hrs just to keep it cleaned out. Also on my first few days I will wear a pad to bed and also if I go out just in case if I fill it up because I wouldn’t feel comfortable emptying it anywhere but at home.

The recommendations on the box aren’t always a good thing to follow because some people who haven’t had a child may have a heavy flow and need the larger one and it’s also about your cervix height

I just bought one from Boots (its called Mooncup 😀) and inserted it at home, it was a bit strange when i saw the size of the cup and i was thinking omg how im gonna insert this thing 😂😂 but it was pretty quick and easy for first time user lol. I really want to convert to the menstrual cup but I only properly bleed for 2 to 3 days and the rest of the days it's just more spotting and discharge can I still use it for the lighter days?

I’m interested in trying the Mooncup but my only concern would be is how well does it work with women who have heavy flow periods? I have a heavy flow 1-3 days then it gets light towards the end of my cycle. My cycle typically last for 5 days. My question is would you recommend the Mooncup for heavy flow periods?

    • @lucie.houchin

The size thing. Is it if you’ve had a baby AND over 30 or had a baby and/or over 30. I’m 25 but have have 3vaginal births.

If you have a heavy flow, look into the larger capacity cups. PutaCupInIt.com is a great resource for figuring out which cup is right for you.

I have a heavy flow and I fill up the whole cup but I use a different cup...they do have the super jeanie that holds 42ml and I believe the tampax one holds a lot..they have cups that hold 30ml some that hold 15 ml there are different shapes, sizes, textures, and firmness..you would have to do research and find the right cup that you need...

Just a quick question no one seemed to answer is, isn't it messy when taking it out with blood in? Doesnt it go on your hands lol? Sorry abit gross x

    • @emmadavies4635
      @emmadavies4635 6 лет назад

Hi, good question - something I wondered aswell, before I started using the moon cup approx. 2 years ago. Just like a cut on the finger, blood washes away very easily, so while it may feel/look gross, it's easy to get used to, becomes routine and is very quick to clean up afterwards. I find it brilliant, though I definitely lose more than 2 teaspoons of blood per period (mentioned in above video). I also can leave home, work all day, return home 9 hours later and empty moon cup in toilet without having the need to do so in work all day. So convenient. Hope this helps :)
