Trek 500 or Peugeot PH501 - Which Would You Buy?

I have an 85 Trek 560, all suntour cyclone, 501 Reynolds and embossed lugs it's been my daily ride for 3 yrs. Seriously underated bikes, very well made....better made than my 90 Colnago super ....but don't tell the snobs that 😉

I am partial to Peugeots, even factory Peugeots. I never keep the Nervar cranks. PH501 is my harum favorite.... Ms. P. ❤

I would go for the 80s Peugeot over the Trek (in fact I own a PH501). By the 90s I'd be choosing the Treks every time.

Having more of an inclination towards French machinery I'd go that way,but all good bikes and I like Suntour stuff.I like the way the wire passes through the ARX body and is secured,a very neat arrangement.
