Faux Couching Stitch: Using 5 Straight Stitches |

Couching Stitches are a beautiful technique designed to attach yarn (or fabric, or other objects) to your stitching, without stitching through the yarn. It's a way to attach pieces together that adds a level of texture and interest.
But, what if you don't have an object to add?
Can you use the same technique with a stripe on fabric?
Absolutely!
The same technques that add embellishment to couching an object to fabric can add interesting stitches to fabric, and you use the printed fabric as your guide.
In today's video I'll show 5 variations on a couching stitch, using a straight stitch. The stitches do not cross paths (those are for another video), but they are ways of adding rich texture to your stripes.
