Hello! I hope you had a cheerful day! I was visiting my grandkids and all 3 of them tired me out in a happy way! I hope you have a gentle and kind week ahead! Thank you for sharing your video and your talent.
Thank you for showing stitches! I'm a beginner, and working on a simple sampler to practice. The way you show and explain make it sooo much easier to follow than other videos or books!! I so much appreciate you!! And what a cute snail, I need to try him next!!🙏💕😍
I used to embroider all the time, then life intervened and it has been many years since I have. I am very happy for these, for me, refresher courses, as I have many projects for my granddaughter's hope chest. Thank you
Dear Sarah, thanks for a great beginner's work again. My daughter Sarah has begun again to learn embroidery. So that is a great lesson for her (and for me too). Thanks for your great work! God bless you!
Thank you Sarah, love that little snail. I often have to check your videos to find out out how to do a embroidery stitch You certainly are a great teacher 💕💕🇦🇺🇦🇺🐨🐨
Hi Sarah, thank you for the lovely video, and I love the cute little snail, I like the way you show, how a few stitches, can bring a design to life. By the way I like your jazzy nail polish.
Thanks for explaining difference between stem and outline stitches and when to use them. I probably heard it before but this time it connected.. - Keenan
Thank you, it’s lovely having the design at the end of video to use each of the stitches. I am familiar with the stitches, so the snail has made addition to my sample journal 😆
Hi Sarah. This video was super!. My friend Karen Girard who’s also a member said to me yesterday, (Friday) “ Sarah didn’t have a video today.” We decided you work very hard for us and deserved a break. 😊. However, first thing this morning, there you were. Thank you so much!! That snail is very creative the way you included all 12 stitches into it. Can’t wait to stitch it. I Especially like the link below to your website Beginner blog/video- filled with helpful information and videos. I have the 1935 edition of “Mary Thomas’s Dictionary of Embroidery stitches.” The “thumbnail sketches throughout” are hilarious…
Thank you Sarah that was brilliant, and although not a beginner, I was absolutely fascinated by the interesting way you used the stitches on the Snail piece, and how very effective they made it, I would never have thought of doing it that way, you always make me see things differently in embroidery and I love that, thanks for all you do x
Thankyou Sarah really enjoying your videos, so good to have a refresher on basic stitches, still have trouble with detached chain 🙂 Thankyou also for snail design 🌹
Thank you so much for the recap Sarah. It always helps to revisit something you might not have visited for a period of time and just want a reminder. Your in-depth stitch tutorial videos are brilliant. Miss Pinky wasn't feeling too photogenic today, too hot maybe, but that tail is something to behold, just like the lady herself. Sarah, have you ever considered hosting/running a RSN satellite school? The Certificate and Diploma both come to mind.
Hello Sarah. I have loved your tutorials and you have helped me enormously and I’m really enjoying practising it all now. I’m heading over to your website to see if you have any workshops going. I just cannot stop stitching now! Lesley x
Thanks Lesley, I'm glad you are enjoying the videos! I'm not doing any workshops at the moment so that I can concentrate on RUclips (where I can reach all around the world!)
Love your kitties❣️so glad I got your table clamps…it’s so much easier to keep tension in stitches that I need. Thank you for the freebie pdf. What type of material is that? Looks like linen…🙏🏽🙋🏻♀️👍🏽Mia
Very informative as usual :) One comment on your buttonhole stitch though. It is not the same as "otherwise spacer blanket stitch ". Buttonhole has a knot instead of an loose loop as blanket stitch does.
Hello Sarah your work is lovely ,I am curious to know what is the difference between machine and hard embroidery thread and can one use machine th to do hand work.
Amazing video - you have inspired me and my wife to start embroidery last year. Thank you very much! I have a question - the stem stitch and the outline stitch are the same apart from being an mirror image of each other. Is there a reason why they have different names?
That's brilliant Romanator X! See my video on stem and outline stitch for more details but the former looks better if you are working curves in a clockwise direction, the later anti-clockwise hence the need for different names !
A total newbie [and subscriber] who is SO GRATEFUL to have discovered your channel. Thank you, Sarah!
Thank you for watching and becoming a channel member sisduh! x
Thank you for all the hard work you put into your videos and for generously providing free downloads. 😘

What a great primer! It’s amazing how the snail comes to life with stitches and color. Thanks for the download, too, Sarah! 🐌
Thank you for this video and the pdf. I can't take classes right now but I can tell I'm making progress. It's very encouraging.
I used to embroider all the time, then life intervened and it has been many years since I have. I am very happy for these, for me, refresher courses, as I have many projects for my granddaughter's hope chest. Thank you
A nice refresher - thank you. Essential stitches are the best
thank you so much for the video and download for the snail. my gd has a snail farm so she will love this.

Wonderful to be passing on your skills to the next generation Sonja!
Really appreciate your giving the time stamps for your video!
Ohhh your kitties are so precious. I love that you do not edit them out! Please keep them in forever!!!😊
I've given up trying to edit them out so they stay in!
Thank you so much! Brilliant way to demonstrate the stitches. Makes it so much easier to remember how to do them. I love the snail ❤
Terrific review! Thank you.
you make me very happy, watching you work and (fantastically) explain the stitches. And your team of husband and cat are adorable!
Excellent video as always! I really appreciate how you used the blanket stitch in two different ways.
Macine thread is usually just finer but you can hand stitch with it. check out my sampling video!
Thank you Sarah, love that little snail. I often have to check your videos to find out out how to do a embroidery stitch

This is how I like my snails. Rather than munching my hard work in growing our fruit, veg, herbs etc!
@@carolempluckrose4188 yes you are right, the real ones are a nuisance.
You need some toadstools to distract them Carole!
Thanks for explaining difference between stem and outline stitches and when to use them. I probably heard it before but this time it connected.. - Keenan
If you want to get really mathematical about it Keenan, there is a download on my free stuff page with some angles and arrows on it...!! :D x
Oh look! Pinky Cat joined the party today!

Sarah, have you ever considered hosting/running a RSN satellite school? The Certificate and Diploma both come to mind.
Her tail takes much brushing Carole!
I've done that Carole, I set up and ran the Rugby RSN satellite with a colleague for about 3 years!
A great reminder video and thank you for that adorable little snail design. I think it's one of my favorites that you've done. It is SO cute!!
Vielen dank 🌹

Your videos remind me of Bob Ross.... Just with thread 😊
She does have a nice voice doesn't she
I miss the music you had at the beginning of the video 😭😭
Other than that thank you for this video :D
I love playing them while I embroider or draw! 💛

Very nice 💕
And thank you so much
That wasn’t Ginger Cat! Who was that? Love your tutorials. Love this snail 🐌 Thank you
That was Pinky! She graces us with her company occaisionally. Her and Ginger cat don't get on so if he's there, she isn't!
@@SarahHomfrayEmbroidery Thanks, I was a little worried about Ginger Cat. Good to know.
I need bigger patterns for a pillowcase.any ideas?
