I think that's the most human ending, you basically lose everything but you're alive and can still live an happy and long life. For a videogame ending it's really depressing tho, you downgrade to npc level and blend in with the crowd of night city becoming one of them. Nobody will remember you now that you're "retired"
@@dunearksmith9869 it's implied in the dialogue options that they could become a fixer, and they kinda left it open ended in a way because sure you become a face among faces but there's always an option for V really, it just really depends on where you ( as the character )wanna go, like being a fixer or exploring the world, "retiring desk job" could mean more of a netrunner V but, I hope you understand what I mean when it's a depressing end because you lost all your friends and (basically family) you are alone at 0 again ready to restart ( that's how I see it).
Man this ending got me thinking about how things will change and your place in the world in times to come, the only thing you'll remember is the memories of old and the few that still remain. Truely the saddest ending.

I think this is worst than the Devil ending. The Devil ending was bitter, but still V had the chance to go back to Earth and reunite with her friends and live the rest of her life as she wants. In the cure ending V is left with nothing. No friends, no lover, no implants, jobless, weak. ANY npc is stronger than her. Even Rogue tells V to not appear again because people want to remember her as legend. It's just miserable.
V went from a dying somebody to a surviving nobody. Would you rather go out in a blaze of glory or live long? Personally I'd rather go out in a blaze of glory.
Right I play this to role play in real life sure I’ll take a quiet life but in a game I’m going out blazing that’s what v and Jackie wanted to be legends this ending is depressing
no "V" the legend will live forever, and Vincent the person has a new start in life. Apart from losing Panam ( and, actually, she´s kinda a douche), it is really the best ending objectively. Keeping most of your friends, still a millionnaire, not dying in 6 months because of the relic, still all the contacts in NC if V wants to become a fixer, or anything they want really

This ending is the perfect encapsulation of “no happy endings in Night City”. V survived but the world she knew died, kinda like how Johnny managed to survive only to see his big act of defiance against the machine become a footnote of history.
This is a pretty good ending, you trade your chrome for your life, everyone would take that ending.V is a resourceful person, don't need to be a criminal bad ass to have a good life and happy ending.

It's a very somber ending, Johnny's construct dies in a whimper, So Mi remains a prisoner, with your help, and you lose all of your edge. But if V can accept the reality, she can really make the most of it, given the circumstances. A sad ending, but there's hope in it, it was the right call to have Misty guide V through it.
My own head canon, Vik doesn't stop looking and finds a way to help V, V get's their abilities back, continues being a Night City legend....it's not an ending, their story just doesn't end...
Who knows, Cyberpunk: Orion is CD Projekt's red next title. Rumored to run on the same engine. Maybe (Just MAYBE) V is one of the characters we see or at least hear about or read. (Unless it's a prequel or something, like instead of 2077 it's 2050 or 2020 where we see Blackhand, Boa Boa, Shaitan and the gang.)
Orion isn’t running on the same engine as 2077. However, Orion isn’t going to be a prequel as CDPR confirmed it’s going to be a sequel…so we might see V. I personally hope V comes back as the protagonist
Vik can't. Not even Arasaka could fix it in the Devil ending and they were the ones who made the relic, who have the most advanced technology and doctors at their disposal. V is now just a face in the crowd like Misty said, but at the same time she has made lots of enemies, she just won't survive in NC. Even having all of her capabilities she was being hunted in NC, multiple times we need to deal with car chases out of nowhere because her head is on a bounty.
The Coyote went under after V's disappearance. When the gonks jump them, V can name-drop the establishment to try and avoid the beating but they said it's been replaced

You get your whole life ahead of you just without any chrome. (If you did a Puritan V run.) meaning no Cyberware at all you can still have a pretty good life. Good Food, Good Exercise you'll be as healthy as any human can be. Just never at that Merc operator level anymore. If V could take up reed on his offer to work at the FIA he'll probably be assigned as a Training Officer. Instructing agents on Theory work. Not a bad life.

During my playthrough, V's eyes opening to Reed at their bedside, I joked how it'll be like Metal Gear Solid V and the doc telling you it's been a nine year coma. So, I wasn't prepared for Reed to actually drop the news V was in a 2-year coma. Not that there was much of a time crunch to hit the next dialogue prompt, but I wasn't emotionally prepared for that to happen. Needed a minute to take it all in. At first thinking, "I was just saying a joke, who knew they actually would do this", and eventually to "oh V, no V... I'm so sorry..."
This was such an incredible ending. Johnny was always about 'Living for you. Live full. Die when you die.'. It drives home just how amazing Vs previous life was, and how sad her 'safe' existence is going to be. Johnny said 'Don't let them change who you are.'. They did in every way. And now she's alive, but no longer 'living'.

I’m gonna be honest this ending really isn’t that bad in fact it’s actually pretty good considering V is probably still loaded and can still live a great life minus the violence
Mafia 3 is a great example on how to follow up with a previous protagonist. The main character of the second game is a sort of fixer aiding the new one in the third game. His fate is on your hands in Mafia 3 The idea of V returning as a background fixer is not so far-fetched
If they go that route, hopefully they allow you to transfer your character to the sequel like Mass Effect. I don't want to talk to a V I don't recognize.

And it's not that bad. Think about it. My V wears hardly any chrome apart from the kiroshis. She's stealthy. Using a suppressed pistol. Anyone with a firearm can make it in Night City provided they know what they're doing. She can naturally get fit again over long term yoga or nutrition without the need for chrome. And she's rich from side gigs and NCPD situations. Two years won't change all the eddies she's made. She can live decent and cosy in Night City for as long as she wants. She can help Rogue in Afterlife as a fixer. She can go back to her roots and work with Padre somehow, get some Heywood protection. She can leave Night City still wealthy and be employed by NUSA, FIA. She can never be a top class cyberware killer anymore but she can adapt to dangers the smart way.
V's life ended in a victory... A very depressing victory. Realistic. It makes me think of dying while fighting rather than living and winning depressively. This makes Edgerunners ending look happy which is sad😢... This game broke me and I've never even played it yet(I've only watch gameplays, cutscenes and the whole Edgerunners)... Can't wait to get in the depression train with this game
Naw its a new opportunity if we go by the arcana meaning this ending is called the tower, this means while things may seem like shit in the moment, it will get better
V waking up is real life people, everyone moves on with their own life and for V he or she just wants to live he or she doesn't have to be hero anymore he or she can live a normal life now, the best ending in my own opinion because it's real life everyone moves on you lose people through out your life.
Do you guys have hear about Bioware? tech mentioned in the game used mainly on EU (also in the Crystal Palace Space Station) V can't use Cyberware anymore, but what about Bioware? they didn't say anything about that because in Night City (and most part of NUSA) they are just specialized on Cyberware tech... the next game could be centered in an EU city speciallized on Bioware tech. This is the best ending if they want to do a continuation in the story of V on the sequel, fresh start with a new tech.
I honestly don't understand why you're apparently "Always going to be defenseless" I mean what if you barely ever fucking used cybernetics in your playthrough? Oh no I lost my ability to scan things but can still riddle people with lead, also you'd think plenty of exo tech exists to use instead of cybernetics. I get being useless right after a two year coma though. Also I'd find it reasonably hard to lose hope when being told "It's impossible" if I'd already heard that line this many times before and proven people wrong.
Johnny had a badass malorian pistol and a decent amount of combat experience and he still got whacked by a bladed, sandy using cyberware user. Inspite of how “good” the player is, V would easily be put down without their use of high end cyberware.
This writing is so bad, lmfao. "Neural matrix" is the reason why V cant use chrome anymore, like... what? Choom, it was so easy to write. Just make it so that V got a total cyber-blocker (which blocked the relic) but it also blocks implants from working. Something akin to a cyber chemotherapy, it kills all cybernetic related stuff. Or to make the story even more intense just make it so that the NUSA scientist actually reverse-engineered Relic, made a V engram, killed V and applied the relic again (and due to the general fuckery V cant use implants anymore), with the implications that NUSA actually used you in the end! This ending was made "the bad ending" on purpose, only to keep "no good endings in cyberpunk" theme going on.
