Truth. Prince, have an occasional impure thought? Every chorus of every song he wrote was pretty much a long trail of impure thoughts--which is fine, if we're talking consenting adults. This was not OK--and neither was the emotional and financial abuse.
Let's not be naive, though. Just because he says that he did doesn't mean that he did, otherwise he'd have gone to jail. They were a beautiful couple, for sure, but it is still somewhat creepy that prince was a 32-year-old man who was sexually attracted to a 16-year-old girl. Anyways, just throwing it out there -- but this shouldn't be normalized, nor should he be praised for it. After all, he decided that she should get on birth control, as soon as she turned 19. I don't know man, but I wish people viewed this more critically.

I just finished reading The Most Beautiful. Mayte Garcia's book is so beautifully written and heartfelt. This was truly a love story. The heart wrenching details of their child's birth, and death, reduced me to tears. I can't imagine what they went through, when it was so difficult just to read. God bless you Mayte. I hope your souls meet again in another life.❤

People were much more mature back then, than the teens that I grew up with. If they don’t get along or had nothing in common, then a 16yr old her would’ve been creeped out by the thought of dating someone older. So she could have said no to him or done something about it, If he made her feel uncomfortable. Maybe she stayed because she wanted to further her career and the opportunity was right in front of her. Who knows, but it’s none of our business.
