Everything I use is in the description. Remember change settings to watch in 4k.

I remember catching a turtle like that in a lake. The good thing is that these reptiles are as comfy on land as they are underwater. Also, there’s no dorsal fin to shoot up into your hand, so you can just grab it by the shell while getting the hook out. Just be careful of the beak.
Fun story: an associate of mine actually caught a turtle hatchling one day in a pond, now it’s his family’s pet. When he caught it, it was the size of a quarter, now it is the size of my hand, if not bigger.

Pretty sure this one was a snapping turtle. I did not want to lose a finger that day 😅. Wish he was not caught in the first place. Everything was biting that day I guess
They have a long life span he'll have a pet for a while

West Potomac Park is on the opposite side of the Potomac from where he was fishing. Its better there if your family is new to Washington DC or has not seen the sites yet.The Family can go see the Lincoln memorial,Washington monument and Jefferson memorial and MLK while you fish and still see the planes without as much noise. Also use Boneless Chicken Breast for bait to catch some good size Blue Catfish. The water current is also better on the other side it's very strong where he was fishing in this video.Rhet are bitting much slower right now though.A few months ago you could do no wrong. Also consider Dangerfield Marina it's right up the street from Gravelly park about 5 minutes away.
