    I love your mastery of the hatchet. It has inspired me to improve my hatchet skills beyond delimbing branches. Also, I truly appreciate the way you perform your tasks with unhurried speed, thus allowing the tools to do more work instead of the operator. And your backhand use of your knife is sweet!! Watching now... your bowsaw speed is right on.

    I really enjoy your videos. I guess my only criticism would be that I prefer the natural sounds of the surroundings and your work over any sort of music in the background.

    Another great video. I like your approach to crafting and outdoorsmanship in general. Can you shed a bit of info on your saw? I've seen you assemble it and it seems to work super well. I'd like something that can travel compactly.

    Greetings from Aotearoa, New Zealand, great video, very enjoyable to watch, I also do a lot of hand tool carpentry, I was wondering what sort of hatchet you are using? Doe's the job very well

      I do not know the brand or make of this hatchet. I bought it at an antique store for $8. It works very well, I quite like the curved shape of the cutting edge. It's very good for carving. Sorry that I cannot be of more help. I appreciate you tuning in. Thanks. Happy trails!

    Reyley, is the log you start out with dry? It seems the legs are dead wood. I guess this isn't greenwood joinery then? But the way you flatten the table top with the axe made me think it is soft from being green. I'm looking for learning more about greenwood joinery.
