If I wish to purchase a Google chromecast with remote then hook it up to my LAN using one of these adapters, when I use it, will it take preference (over the wifi still enabled on my router for other devices) and use the LAN connection as preference or can it be set this way and will this LAN connection also give me connetcion to my own personal video collection on the Network connected NAS device? Curious to know?
Hi, would you know of a good usb c hub with slots for flash drives and Ethernet that would be compatible with the latest Chromecast and mi box? Thanks for your time.
apparently according to the people who made these devices if you plug it into the TV theres a good chance the device wont get enough power.. i had problems with my chromecast screwing up and being really slow and it was because i had it plugged into the back of the tv's debug usb port instead of a proper power supply that came with it
It's not fast as you thought because it's bottle necked by the micro-usb if ether were a usb-c connection which supports 10/100/1000 you would have seen a dramatic increase with ethernet. Good review though thank you for the information.
Hi. Once you're done setting it all up, Can you use chromecast to play RUclips content via Google home app on your smartphone, but your smartphone is connected to a different network? (chromecast and smartphone are not on the same network)
Exactly! I have the same question. If Google Home works on the base of a wifi network, then you would not be able to send commands to the Chromecast since it will be connected to the ethernet. 🤷🏻♂️
Thanks man. Old video but still useful
6 Mbps = 6 megaBITS

Speed is MegaBITS per second, not megabytes!
6 Mbps on Lan......lol :-) is that a restriction in that software speedtest since it thinks it's fast ?
Dialup is laughing indeed 😂

How to change Proxy on Fire Sticks Please?
Giving Chromecast and/or Ethernet adapter power needs to be last step. Last step = plug in power cord
Question pls, when I connect the Ethernet adapter it doesn't make any difference so the internet connection connects but stays the same .. any advice?
Make sure to choose the wired connection and not the wifi .

Do you know if it runs on ethernet, does it turn the wifi off? I don't care much about quality but want to minimize wifi radiation.
Hi. Can I connect this way on a non smart Sanyo TV please?

What if it doesn't work?
I have fire tv stick 1st generation how should i connect it with ethernet please
