I really appreciate the part at the end where she said she felt like she had to overcompensate and that she had to wear things that were more bright or edgy than she was comfortable with. I can relate so much to this. It's so exhausting to have to push when you're a soft flowing person.
This is so nice! She looks and feels good about herself and I really believe that she will keep it up after this tutorial is done. I have always HATED those television makeovers where the after is worse than the before. They often look uncomfortable and clearly not feeling themselves. You know they get home and scrub it all off just so they can feel easy in their skin. So glad you aren’t forcing people into a “fashionable” mold, but are allowing them to be who they are!
This video feels like "my story." First, the part where Carol begins by referencing the "I am sorry" habit. And especially, the part where she says at the end that before DYT, she felt like she had to choose items that were more bright and edgy than she was comfortable with in an effort to appear more out-going and fun. I can definitely relate to this, as well as pretty much everything else stated in this video. It sure is a relief to finally have comfort in just...being myself~Fellow DYT2/1
What a lovely video. I am just the same as Meghan. I don't know what suits me so it's easier to play it safe, tie my hair back, and move on with my day. This was a very useful video for me, thank you.
I would even consider dressing Megan softer. No pattern, luxurious texture, free-flowing draped skirt, minimal, analogous color combination. Matching her energy with subtlety, which is her essence.
Of the 20 vids or so of Carol's I've watched, this is the outfit that I like the best. Those textured pants rock. The color of shoes, the deep, rich green. Love from a 4

You could still be a type 2 though, depending on your facial features. I don't think of Jennifer Aniston or Julia Roberts as quiet or meek and yet they are type 2. There are a lot of variations of all of the types.
