I recently put a resaw blade on my bandsaw. My bandsaw never had a fence. So in this video I will build one!
Thanks for watching and we will see you in the next one!

Very clear and useful. I appreciate that there’s nothing more specialized than a hex head bolt here.
This is so helpful. Thank you!
Well done, Wes :)
Thanks John! Made it on the fly.
Great job on the band saw fence and the editing Wes! Thanks for sharing the video with us!💖👍👌😎JP
Beautiful work!!👍
Really great
Pretty cool
Love the little star knobs made with the hole cutter. I’m stealing that idea!
Nice work.
Thanks. I have a video on how to make these knobs. Just search my video catalogue.
Awesome job Wes! 😃👍🏻👊🏻
Thank you!
Thanks for useful tips and detailed information. 👍👍
Very nice one Wes. I need to make one thanks for this. I would put a spring clamp on the other end to prevent movement toward the end of the cut. But that's just me.
That works well. Your band saw is set up pretty good. No drift in the cut.
Yeah, it’s not bad for a 25 yr old band saw.
Super nice job. By chance do you have plans? If not I'll just watch the video 20 more times. Masterfully done job my man. Love the content.
Great video , can you show in more detail how the locking mechanism works ??
I like your push stick!
Thanks!
Well, that's enough to get me off my ass and get building. I like it!
Thanks. Have fun!!
Just built this. Works well. Biggest two modifications I made: 1. I cut and aligned everything off that table and glued off table. 2. Used a knob from Lowe’s instead of making one.
Thanks!
Nice one wes! Should add a sticky tape measure to it..keep making vids like this and you'll be at 100k in no time!
that's a good idea. I think I have some laying around actually
Great work man . Is this is delta bandsaw or jet?
Thank you
Its a toolex I believe. very similar to the delta. its an ok saw. I hope to upgrade it someday
Nicely done Wes! However, how do you allow for blade drift with that set up? Just curious....👍😉
Well it doesn’t. I could be wrong but a properly set up bandsaw shouldn’t have blade drift. That’s what I have read and been told. I have experimented cutting different woods and haven’t had any blade drift yet.
That's awesome Wes. Well done.
Thanks!!
Wes another great video keep them coming. Do you have plans for this?
Thanks! Sorry I don’t. When I started this, I had. I idea how it was going to work. I just figured it out as I went. That’s the reason why there is no talking in this video.
@@WesHamstra That's a real shame! I have this exact bandsaw, and the fence I got it with is.... not great. Guess I'll be watching your video on repeat for a while.
Legal, mas gostei também de ver ser feito esse botão (knob) sem nenhum gabariro (jig).
when tighten the knob bolt, will it cut into the wood wall? thanks
Exactly what I was wondering. I think I'm going to attach a thin steel plate to the wood, so that that won't happen to the wood wall
Do you have plans for sale??
AT 0:50, why does your bandsaw table deflect down so much?
What type of band saw blade are you using?
It’s a toolex. It’s your typical of shore bandsaw. Not the greatest. Kind of under powered. Will be getting a new one in the future.
@@WesHamstra What is width and TPI?
I'd like to build this for my bandsaw, but I have a Yates Y-30 and the blade comes off from the front, not the side of the table as shown for this machine. Thus, the fence rail would need to be split at the blade location. Not ideal.
Or you would have to remove it for blade changes
Used your idea but used black walnut and put oil and sealer on it. 👍🏻
Wow, that would look awesome.
Wow, that would look awesome.
Nice project, but hate double speed and no talking during build. Although he might not be able to talk.
nice. but too little overall structure and no explanation. it would be better to show overall structure first
No narration, no explanation, and time- lapse video makes for a terrible "how to" !!!
